The State to State connection DATING

This is really a kool site and I really
like the set up to talk and get to know
people. I have noticed that people seem
to be interested in other people that live in other States! Is it the thrill of talking to someone that you may NEVER
MEET for security reasons? or Are the
people in our own States just don't seem
to fit the bill? Any comments out there??

I find it strange that people would stick to their own locality. Some people fly across the country to Las Vegas for a weekend of gambling and entertainment, but won't do the same thing for love.

I think an l.d. relationship with a true possibility of long term love is exciting. I wouldn't want to meet up instantly, but if we emailed and phoned our faces off and the chemistry/meeting of minds was there---absolutely. Why wouldn't you?

I live in Vancouver, BC. The trip back and forth to Seattle is nothing. But I've met guys who get all worked up about me, then react as if 140 miles is 14,000! Live a little, love a lot :-D

I am not sure just yet but I am beginning to think the long distance thing just will not work for me... I have been talking to one in MN and he said he would be here in April.... then it was May.... now he swears he is coming in June.... hmmmmmmm r u thinking what I am thinking???????

I've shied away from long distance post. I guess because my priority was to meet someone. My attitude was if I can't find Miss Right in Cali then there's no Miss Right for me. But reading your post maybe I can open myself to a long distance friendship. But I'm still looking for love locally.

I've found nice folks from all over on here, both guys and gals. They have become friends, and even though we don't live close to each other, there is always email, chats, phone calls (a phone card is good for this!!)

As far as meeting a guy goes, well if I find Mr. Right, I'll be more than happy to move to be with him! I have no ties here, so I'd look forward to moving to be with my new sweetie!

Hummm... for me it isn't a for of security, it's more that I broaden my horizons by talking to people from other states to. I have found a lot of interesting people on this site and although I have been getting good responses this site has become more of my moral and emotional support base on the net than an actual dating site for me. In fact I have a e-mail pal from a different site, he is from another state but so far we git along well and can talk about things that normally might start an argument when you talk to people (like politics). I have found him to be intelligent and kind. He flirts with me but despite my almost (sexual) teasing, he still flirts with me in a manner that conveys respect and attraction without crudeness. So it's not that safety from distance, more like realizing you have to take a chance on people sometimes even if you think the distance is to much.

Honestly never met anyone from my own state here. LOL!! Isn't that something? I've been keeping up with my guy from Minnesota. He visits me or I visit him. It's tough but we do it.
