Lonely and depressed Lonely Hearts Post Ur Thoughts Here...

I used to run BBW Parties in Rhode Island and am so well aquainted with the word 'fat'.  I got involved in the Size Movement many years ago when it was pretty ground level.  Things have changed throughout the years but some people still can't deal with the word 'fat'.  I don't see the problem as long as someone is only using the word for what it really is and not for a name-calling thing.  Thats all :)

I have a preference for larger women over smaller women. In Spanish, the term "gordita" is a term of endearment and admiration. Many of us who are hispanic actually love larger women who are well endowed with ample buttocks and larger breasts. We perceive those characteristics as sensual, very feminine, and desirable. I do. I have since I was a teenager and just about everybody around me knows of my preference for larger ladies. And me, I am happy with my preference. I doubt that I'll be lonely anytime soon because for me, female beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.

Hey Randi, you're looking really good, love the smile, not afraid of your size, but long to embrace it instead. I'm separated, but divorce is around the corner. I've also been to Va. a few times and loved it. I visited Va. Beach & the Richland/Claypool areas, so where do you in relation to there? I hope you're still available as this was an old post I'm replying to.

i'm new here, and I get what he says. I didn't see your profile before, but even if you did use the word fat, at least you wern't using it in any sort of hurtful manner. I'd rather be called fat in a loving way, then be called something I'm not in a hurtful or sarcastic way. I paid attention to all of the good things he wrote, like his acceptance of all kinds of people and his willingness to try anything... that definately caught my eye. *smiles* awesome.

Arkie, you've gotten so much abuse here. But hey, don't fully give up, alright? I hate the F word as well. So you've learned not to use it. If this was a learning experience, then this was good. See ya' around!

    Heya Curvy,

You're right but because there is no real way of knowing what someone means when all you have to go on is type I think we all must realize that people still have feelings. In text I think it is even more important to remember that there is a live person on the other end of a message.

Hey, don't feel bad... they are just pointing out a flaw, one that with some thought you could have easily realized. Most people in the midst of typing (or talking even) don't realize that the use of the word in a certain context can be misconstrue and made into a negative word. You have to understand that in typing the word "fat" we have no body language or other extra clues as to how your using the word so people assume the definition. Next time think it out, think this person can't see me smiling as I say it, they can't see me looking at my own round body with a laugh, they can't know how my voice has a merry and positive tone when I say it. They hear it and remember every time someone said it in a negative way so I shouldn't type it or I should make my definition of the word clear.

I am probably a little late with this since I am a relatively new member here but... What is wrong with just calling them as they are, women, ladies. Do you really have to add the adjectives at all. Just a thought.

I have been very hurt by some of your comments. I respect people 100% of the time by the way.(I do not need to be called a moron, it makes me feel worse. I know I am not perfect like the rest of us. But, we are all different, that is how it is meant to be.)

I was going through a fit of depression, I act like a flipping moron when that happens, I am much different when not going through such a fit. :P

I just hope everyone is cool with me now, I really mean no harm by using the word "fat" or by being here. I did not know. We all make mistakes alot, I just did not know people here would not like being called "fat"... it's suprising, but, I admit it's still a little too "direct" of a word to use here.

Say what you will, I am just going to be patient and see what happens. Thanks once again for all of your advice, it helps. But what is wrong with my attitude... what are you saying? I know how to treat a woman, what are you talking about? Are you saying my negative attitude is the reason? Well then, I have to agree then...
(i will tone down the fat stuff in my profile, thanks for notifying me)

mmmmm.. an 18 yr old calling us beautiful ladies fat. Reminds me of the closed mindedness of middle school days

You seem to have shown us all exactly why you are alone. You need to learn how to treat women sweetie. Good luck... you are going to need a whole lot of it to find a woman to put up with your attitude.

Choice of words really means nothing. Are people really THAT weak? Well then, mabye I should finally give up hope then. The point is... I want to find a girl who would love to be called fat. Are people really so illogical as to be uninterested just because I use the word fat for larger size? That is how I am, okay, get used to it. This situation has nothing to do with my choice of words.
Also, get this... society has ruined most females in America, and the media did it too. The word fat is a term for larger size, and I love it. If it's become such a cuss word, then, why come HERE? This site is specifically for fat people and FAT ADMIRERS... you must understand that the type of girl I want will love to be called fat!!! She will be strong in the heart for once, unlike most females.
I am editing my profile then, and anything that refers to fat girls will be called LARGE or BIG.

You have proven that you know very little about women. Yes, you might find a girl that likes being called fat, but most women prefer just to be us... not labeled as fat. Good luck in your search... you're going to need it!

Yeah well good for you how about me calling you a flipping moron.. Hey I'm just saying things like they are.. Not evey one enjoys being called fat.. Grow up and learn to respect people better then maybe you will find some one..

Yeah... obese is a horrible term.
  • View author's info Posted on Feb 20, 2006 at 04:51 PM

I prefer the word fat over obese. I am fat and that is rather obvious. So I have no problem with someone calling it like it is. Fat.

Eh... I don't mind fat. I am a fat man. "Big" is probably the safer more PC term though... bit like calling a black person a black person instead of a you-know-what.

First of all sweetie.... we may be fat... but we don't like being called fat. Your choice of words is probably going to keep you lonely and depressed.

I agree Kewannap and now he's not telling his mother about this dating site and have HER pay $19 for a website she doesn't approve of?

    "I am mature and wise"
"It is difficult for me to be like this. But, I should just be patient with this place and makes some fat friends".. Ok now who agrees with me here I think.. He's just trying to get a good laugh off of this.. Site at our expense because his second.. Post wasn't much "WISER".. Then the 1st even after being informed of his poor choice of words..Look I know your young but if your serious.. Not many girls really dig being called fat..So I'd drop that word if you.. Don't wanna end up being your right hands best friend for a long time..LoL

Hi Ark, as I believe 18 is the youngest you can be to sign up, I think you'll find less girls around your age than someone of, say 25.

Sadly even as the most mature 18 year old there's no getting away from the fact you are still a teenager and this might not be the most useful means of meeting someone. That's not to say it won't work - you might just have to put in the extra effort!

Maybe instead of sending winks to the ladies that catch your eye, send a friendly chatty email - then they can start to see that you have a level of maturity and that you have something interesting to say.

Hell, I'm sounding like an aging agony aunt here!

    Good luck!
