MrGW write: I just had to join after I saw the comment about TIM HORTONs. That's such a great coffee, tea (blech) for canadians, and pastry shop. I've been to a few different ones which are around Brockville. I've got relatives who live there (Brockville). Tim HORTONS is so much better than Dunkin Doughnuts. Another thing I love (and, at times, am totally frusterated over) about Canadian people is their constant politness and directness. I hope you Canadians didn't mind that I injected my 2 cents (about 1.25 cents Canadian) Sorry for that small comment but I'm an American
Hey MrG..I have been in Brockville and at one of the Tim Hortons..I have a dear friend that lives there(Brockville, not TH) *grin* Beautiful area!
Not much of a coffee drinker, but the pastry is delicious

Another Canuck here (born in Alberta, recently moved to Sasktachewan) and that's hilarious Mr. GW!
I think Canadians are both polite and direct because when it's 40 below (which, for people who don't know, only happens for a few weeks a year, summmers are beautiful!) no one wants to stand around arguing or beating around the bush ...
