Diva, found your A that you LO. At least I think it's yours. Get a hold of me and describe your A for me and I'll let you know if it's in my hands of not. It's a nice, soft, rounded one if that helps. This goes for anybody who LTAO. Write me and describe your A and we'll see if it's a match.

DARN - - I can't see the original post; but I will say this - - I is a college student........LMAO!!!! NOT

Sounds like someone needs to get real and check themselves!
Maybe someone is posting quickly and don't want their boss to catch 'em....or maybe their primary language is not English or maybe we should just enjoy each other's quirks!

The style of someone's writing tells a little about them. I would rather have someone misspell a word or two and write something than not write anything at all! Saying just get in touch if you want to know about me makes it hard to know if you want to get to know them. At least if they write a little, even if the grammar and spelling is less than accurate, you get a feeling for their personality.

I see both sides on this issue. Part of my job requires a lot of professional writing so spelling and grammatical mistakes bother me, but I'm human and I make them too. Spellcheckers and grammar checkers are great aids, but not everyone knows how to use them. Still, if you catch an error in your profile, or even in your posts on the forum...guess what? You can edit them to correct them! Now isn't that a novel idea? LOL

You think you got problems, I don't know half the stuff people use for short cuts when they get on computers. LOL, LMAO, EMS, none of it makes sense to me. I was not raised by wolves or savages as some might think, but my mom was an english and speach teacher and my dad was a professional radio/tv announcer who taught college classes towards the end of his life. Try growing up a teenager and telling your dad your "doin nothin". He would say "nothing, doing nothing". And now that I'm older, I won't say more mature because I hate fibbing, I find myself correcting people all the time. Someone's not doin nothin, I say then what are you doing. Read any newspaper and you'll find all kinds of typos and grammer goofs. AND, before somebody try's to point out some things I've typed on other forums, they were done in the name of humor!!!! I know it ain't spelt "purty". If dry humor or right in your face sarcsm goes right over your head, BUY A LADDER. Life's too short to to sweat crap. Laugh out loud at yourself like we all are. I KNOW people laugh at me, hell, have you seen my pic?

I do respect your right to voice your opinion about the bad spelling and grammar, and used to think as you do. As a secretary, I have come across so many "degreed" people who have horrible grammar and spelling, that I wonder how they managed to obtain their degrees.

I don't know about everyone who submitted an ad, but for me the act was spontaneous and such a big leap for me that I thought that if I did not submit it then, I would have chickened out and not submitted it at all. With that thought in mind, I felt that maybe the men who were poor spellers or who did not present their profiles without grammatical errors posted their profiles in the same rush of exhuberance that I did.

Have you ever heard that proverb about glass houses? You may want to read through your own profile as well. It may not have any spelling errors, but there is a grammatical error that could stand correcting.

My gosh, lol. I cant believe this post, lol!!!!!!

Well i can kinda hear what ur saying but if you read a profile that isn't upto your standard of spelling or grammer then dnt reply to it, lol.

You'd be amazed at the amout of people who are extremely intelligent but who are also dyslexic. So by assuming these people aren't as educated as they say you are either correct, wrong - and if your wrong you could be missing out on some1 special!

Anywa, it's each to their own. Every1 has a certain standard i guess but that just made me giggle.

Im not a great speller and i forgot to spell check my profile - so i hope no1 has discarded my profile just for that reason, lol

Good luck x
