hmm, well, gotta say it's a personal preference. there were only 3 black men i would've dated, 2 were fellow students i went to highschool with and my former highschool music teacher *HEYA MR.BROWN!! yes that is his rt name! *L*

I don't have a preference for black men, but I have dated black men. I 'prefer' a man that will accept me for the way I am and treat me with respect. That has nothing to do with race... it has to do with character.
The longest relationship I've had since my divorce was with a black man... and it was a wonderful 6 months until he quit treating me with respect. We have remained friends, but somehow he changed how he was treating me. I think he was afraid of where the relationship was going and decided it was easier to get me to back off than to just tell me he didn't want more... and yes, I was definitely falling for him.

Hey linden, it's not a myth; there are things out there that seem to affect folks of a certain heritage... sickle-cell anemia is something that tends to only affect blacks, I think it's Tay-Sachs that only affects Jewish people, etc. There are also racial differences in muscle structure (just do a web search.) That's been scientifically proven. So, no, "race" isn't a "myth."
Having said that, there are a lot of folks out there who are turned on by the contrasts in skin color.
And there are those who have been mistreated by folks of their own race, and found the opposite gender of another race to be more loving and accepting towards them.

This topic is rather interesting. A large beautiful woman is sooooo sexy, irrespective of the color. I don't want to speak for all black men, but I think we like a lot of woman to love. Its either that or it is the latin blood I carry. The combination is stimulating. The one conclusion I have come to is that I either need to move to Canada or the UK. I couldn't agree more! I've been with black men, and I've been with white men. I couldn't care less what a person's skin colour is. There are great black lovers, and great white lovers. There are terrible black lovers, and terrible white lovers. There are kind, considerate whites, and kind, considerate blacks. There are white bastards and black bastards. None of it has anything to do with race or ethnicity.
