I don't know how many of you get them, but I have a case of the winter blahs. All I wanna do is stay in bed, and do bugger all. I'm tired, moody and feel crappy. It's been a miserable winter, it's either freezing cold or snows like hell when it warms up. I just cannot wait for spring to spring.

I know what you mean. But I have found getting out no matter how cold it is works for me. I also have friends in more often to keep me company. Even if it is just to watch a movie and eat popcorn. Having people around me takes the blues away. I make myself do something. Even if it is just going to the mall and window shopping.

Don't get me started on the Winter Blahs. The other day here in San Diego, it dropped down to FIFTY!! Thats 50 people. I had to put a sweatshirt AND a jacket on while walking on the beach. And at night when the sun went down, I almost regretted wearing shorts to the bar. And I know you all saw or read about that terrible fog we had that practically ruined the golf tournament at Torry Pines. Thank goodness Tiger Woods is from California and know how to withstand the elements. I kid because I have lived in Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas, and I tell people here cold is when your pipes freeze or you have to drive on icy roads and the only thing sanded down is the overpass(Texas). In New Mexico where I lived on the eastern side, it seemed like the thinking was God put the ice on the road for a reason and He'll get rid of it when He wants. No plows to clear it away or sand to help with traction.

Winter blahs, Yup, I to definitly got that. Every year around this time, I get moody, and depressed. So much snow, and so little sun. Cold temperatures, and every one covered up in layers of clothing. LOL. I dont have many friends so not many people to go to have fun with. SO yeah, its me myself and I, and the puters. OH LORD where is spring!

I for one am an expert in the "Winter Blahs". My bird feeder is 4 feet from the ground, and it's buried under snow. I keep my spirits up by immersing myself in my hobbies. Too bad I can't get my boat in the water... Whatever you do, don't just sit around and dwell in your depression. Get out, get active, DO something. Trust me, it helps.

LOL, snows when it warms up!!!!!!!!

Sorry, not making fun of you, just that you gave me a good laugh. Life round here almost comes to a halt when it gets COLD enough for snow!

Funny how we take our own environment for granted. By the way, I have seen snow for almost a whole hour this winter.

Now, if it came to moaning about the rain, then I'd definitely join in!

Ho hum, spring is on the way.

I hear you. The Winter Blahs can be hard to battle. If you give into them, you become deeply depressed and practically nothing gets accomplished except the bare minimum.

I think this is an important season to have a "friend" at the very least to buddy around with. Same sex, or opposite sex, doesn't matter, so long as you have someone to focus some attention and energy on.

Another thing you can do to help battle the winter blahs, is to use that time to focus on getting things within your 'world' the way you would want them to be should you meet your perfect match. Example: Fixing that leaky toilet, or painting those interior walls, etc. Focus on your enviroment and see what could use some improving. Are you proud of your 'love nest' and ready to show it off to potential mates?

Not only does this give you something to fix your mind upon, but it will also improve your suroundings which is all part of those first impressions.

Winter is half over... hang in there!

Oh yeah... and your welcome to come down to my house and warm up in front of the fire anytime. *smile*

Hey Teddy, Move to Florida. Its beautiful here in the winter, we have our cold spells but nowhere near what you get up north. And the sun shines more often than not. I too lived more north than here and in the winters I got the blues as well. I know its easier said than done, but just a thought.
