Hi, there, just thought I'd try somethin new. Does anybody out there ride? Wouldn't it be great if we could all meet somewhere for a nice long ride. Tell me about your bike and I'll tell you about mine.
Hi, Thats how I got back in riding after 20 years off my bike. Now I have V-star 1100 classic. I took it on a 1400 mile two day trip last summer and am looking forward to a longer trip out through Kansas and down into Oklahoma and back home this summer. Back roads and small towns are great places to really smell the air.
Hi gal Yes most every state the D O T will have classes and they have the bikes in different sizes,, You get a day of class room then a long day of on the bike testing,,, its a great course, and it even helps your insurance rate to take it,Ihave rode forever, but it never hurts to take a refresher course, most state require the test to get your "M class lic,, Go to your local driving testing station they should have books and a list of places to take the test,, but in my state it cost 150 to take it,,
I truly miss the bikes I started out with...a Blue and silver Yamaha 175 dirtbike and the black and gold Yamaha500. Now, the one I have, Yamaha400, hasnt been ridden in about 10 years, or more, since I moved here... Yikes!!! I think it's time I looked into repairing or replacing it... Would love the HD sportster, but still a bit pricey for me... 'Til then, it's Yama-Mama...wannabe!
I love Hitting the trails/old Logging roads in my area. Its great but me and my friends are all running vintage Bikes. All from the 70's so we get some Odd looks from the guys on new mx's. But there's nothing like riding a bike on a beautiful trail through streams and around moutains.
ouch! poor guy! i guess if you really love something its worth the risk? My husband has a Suzuki GSXR 1000 streetbike...he looks great on it. he's been riding since he was 5 and cant think of living without at least ONE bike...all four of us have dirtbikes also and go riding when the weather permits...lately though, it hasnt been permitting...lol
I always wanted a bike, until I came upon an accident where this guy on his bike went off the road. He was wandering on the road in a daze, and I stopped and asked him if he was allright, but got only faint mumbling. I got his bike into the back of my half-ton, and drove him to the hospital. After that I stuck to a vehicle with 4 wheeks, and did not think about motorcyles the same after that. He had a slight concussion and a broken arm, but it could have been worse if he was not wearing a helmet.
K..I have to admit that I have a weakness for men on street bikes. Automatic drooling and need for molestation occurs. Lol.. I'm not quite brave enough to ride on a bike on my own, but wouldn't mind finding a guy who would be willing to share the back seat of his bike.
Yea, that would be some road trip. Lots of neat things to see along the way though. That's neat that you do some of your own work on your bike. If I had the money, I would like to build my own bike also. I prefer the look of Rodger Bourgets bikes the best if I had a choice.
You mentioned about the vibration of the Harley, I wonder if that's why the ladies like Harleys so much LOL. Just kinding, but it does seem like the ladies in my area that are single and like to ride will only go for a ride if you have a Harley, and nothing else. I think part of it is the cost of a Harley, but that vibration thing may have something to do with it also.
Wow, what a road trip that would be though, wouldn't it! I ride an old Harley, a sportster. It's teaching me lots about vibration and tightening bolts, LOL. I'm saving money to build a custom something, not real sure yet, will let you know...
Nice to see someone else on here that likes motorcycles also. Yea, it would be nice to meet somewhere and go for a ride. Too bad I'm on the west coast, and your on the east coast.
Well, a little about my bike. I bought a Yamaha Vstar 1100 Classic as a birthday present to myself two years ago. I've gotten a few compliments on it, and there are some great roads in my area to go for a ride on too. If you want to see what my bike looks like,
