Once you have had your heart broken, does it mend or do we settle for what comes along that makes us forget for awhile?

I absolutely agree and am so sorry for your loss.  Losing the one we love always hurts, and will always hurt a little, but we can move on, find new people who bring us joy and live fruitful and meaningful lives.  I wish you all the best.

i have a broken heart.
u have to put it aside . i have and probably never forget him.
but u have to move on.
or live a lonely life.
i will never for get him. but the hurt is going away.
u can find a good man out there. but never compare the new one to the old one. u mite find a great man. i think i have. yes it still hurts . but when i am with the new man i feel good and i dont even think about my broken heart.

i think they do .....with enough time im moving  on from the ultimate broken heart my SO passed away 2 yrs ago at 27 its been hard but life is to short to spend every moment hurting you have to get up dust off and remember that love feels to wonderful to not keep striving for the one that lasts
