Well, 44 and desperatly crave affection/passion/romance. In an unloved, unappreciated, un intimate relationship. Overworked and very strong feelings for passionate affair and desperate for an alternative reality....is this a mid life crisis ?? :-)

It sounds like a case of neglect. You are neglecting yourself or your
partner is neglecting you. Find a passion and the rest will fall into
place.
