A man is sitting reading his newspaper when his wife sneaks up behind him and whacks him on the head with a frying pan. "What was that for?" He asks. "That was for the piece of paper in your trouser pocket with the name Mary-Jane written on it," she replies. "Don't be silly," he says "Two weeks ago when I went to the races. Mary-Jane was the name of one of the horses I bet on". His wife seemed satisfied at this and apologized. Three days later he's again sitting in his chair reading when she nails him with an even bigger frying pan, knocking him out cold. When he comes around he asks, "What was that for?" "Your horse phoned!"
Idiot !! He deserved to get more than a clout with a frying pan around his head !! He should never have cheated on his wife, but to leave Mary-Jane's name on a piece of paper in his trouser pocket AND to give Mary-Jane his home phone number - he must have a death wish !!
That was good...
You knew,in last century when vacuum cleaners were not available in every family then to cleaning carpets used duster.Carpets were hanging on the rope and by beating cleaned carpets at dust.
So,sometimes happened that wives turned husbands to carpets and give them the treatment...by beating cleaned the carpets at dust and give to husband "treatment" as well...
