I've kept this song so long... this was once for the only real love I had ever known.

Wounded Heart - Bonnie Raitt

Wounded heart I cannot save you from yourself
Though I wanted to be brave, it never helped
Because your trouble's like a flood raging through your veins
No amount of love's enough to end the pain

Tenderness and time can heal a right gone wrong,
But the anger that you feel goes on and on.
And it's not enough to know that I love you still
So I'll take my heart and go for I've had my fill

If you listen you can hear the angel's wings
Up above our heads so near they are hovering
Waiting to reach out for love when it falls apart
When it cannot rise above a wounded heart.

When it cannot rise above a wounded heart.

Right now it's "Angels Fall Sometimes" by Josh Turner

Beautiful song...words are gorgeous. And his voice is to die for.

Hmmmmmm, well right now I have the song "When The Sun Goes Down" by Kenny Chesney as my ringtone so I guess that would be it at this point.

I totally agree with StarEnight
on this....music just speaks to
your soul! The very heart of it!
I tend to gravitate towards Contemporary Christian music and one of my favorite songs is DISAPPEAR by Bebo Norman. It's about seeking complete peaceful solace in our Father in Heaven. It brings me alot of peace. But alot of other genres of music can do that, too. Even Enya. Some of her instrumentals can be so powerful....without words.
Anyway...music is definitely the soul's greatest gift ever!
Thanks for the post...I really enjoyed reading everyone's replies to it.

That's quite the confession Crazy Sexy Cool. Actually I love that song. It's one ya just gotta dance to if they play it at the club. I have to admit I have a CD that's got Can't Touch This and Ice Ice Baby on it that I jam to at work. People think I'm crazy but I'm just having fun.

My favorite song is a lullaby. I wish i could give you wings to carry you above the storm because wings let you fly above the clouds and keep you nice and warm.

I know its sad but my theme tune is Baby Got Back by Sirmixalot. I love that song. I've got videos of everyone in my family doing a dance to it.
My seven year old cousin knows the words and comes out with "So find that jucy double"!.....I fear i am a bad influence.
