I'm feeling a bit low today as it would have been my late mother's 64th birthday today.

I miss her and wish she was here as she knew the right things to say to cheer me up.

My dad is in very ill health and I know I will have to face this reality within the next few years. Working for hospice, I see death everyday and somedays I just sit in my office and cry at the thought that one day (sooner rather than later) that crying family member who just lost their dad will be me. Take comfort in knowing that she is still with you Gordy. And if you listen real close, you will hear her telling you to hang in there... she's watching! I luv ya sweetie! ...... Your friend, Kew

My mom died several years ago, when I was 23, and I've discovered since then that you are never too old to need your mommy.

I lost my father many years ago when I was 9. I know how you feel, Gordon. there's always been an empty spot in the big moments of my life.

I'm very close to my mother and I'm not 100% sure what I'm going to do when she goes (she's 66) so even if I can't empathise with you Gordon, I can sympathise :-)
