What is it that you do to relax when you are all stressed out?

I personally go down to the ocean and listen to the waves roll in. There is something calming about watching the sea.... the vast openness of it.... the tranquility of it... the sights... the smells... the sounds.... nothing more relaxing to me. I also enjoy a nice massage with hot rocks. Now the best of both worlds would be a massage down at the beach.... nah... that would be heaven!

Your turn...

wow bbanditx79... you do have a wide selection of music to choose from for your mood! I have a cd of piano instrumentals that I just love to listen to.... just like listening to the music without the clutter of words.

Relax?

I don't know the last time I felt truly relaxed. I felt okay travelling down to Yorkshire the other day, had some good tunes on my Walkman, didn't feel nervous at all but it wasn't really the same as being relaxed. To me "relaxed" is being content with life and having nothing worrying on your mind and it's a few years since I felt that way.

What type of music usually does the trick for you sweetie?

Any sort of music that I enjoy listening to can be a good stress reliever if I can emerse myself into the into song and get mellowed out.

I typically listen to rap, r&b, pop, and rock. Which one I listen to at a particular moment really depends on how I'm feeling. Sometimes I get into my rap mode when I like to hear something that makes me think or reflect on the past such as Talib Kweli, Common, Nas, etc. Sometimes I like to get into my relax and sing mode so I turn to r&b, such as D'Angelo, Tyrese, Donnell Jones, and etc. Finally, sometimes I'll turn to my pop mode when I desire to hear something more upbeat since I typically like that upbeat, commercial type pop music, i.e. Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne, or Britney Spears.

I like going into Kews chatroom and chatting with the people there.

Well, work or my child is what usually stresses me out. I usually like to go for a ride with the radio blaring, doesn't really matter which kind, either old rock and roll or some old motown. I have about an hour ride home from work, so by the time I get home, I'm good to go.
