First and foremost. I got my divorce last month. After two years of seperation, battling hardcore for child support, being in and out of court eight times and spending thousands of dollars in attorney fees and court costs...I'M FINALLY A FREEBIRD. *hums McDonalds theme* I'm lovin' it!

So, what is next on the agenda?

I'm going to Disneyland!

Well, sort of...I'm taking my kids and self on a Disney Cruise! Woo hoo!

I was in Orlando this past February 2006! AWW MAN! I could've met you! Crap! Shows me for not coming to the forums for a few months! D'arghhhh!!! I went through Orlando on my way to Tampa to see a friend in concert! I'll make my way back down there again! We'll do something, ok? And a cruise with you and your family sounds wonderful! Let's do some planning!

Good Luck to you Aijin! This comes from an older SC woman....I have been a single parent most of my son's life. I have been married and divorced 3 times. I will not tolerate bad behavior. I will sound a warning for 2 years and then get out of the situation if it does not improve. You will have times where you wonder how or if you will make it.....but you will thrive and always find a way when you have a little one depending on you. My "little one" is now 18 yrs old and in college and has enormous respect for his mom because he saw the struggles, the obstacles and the perserverence. Every encounter you have with your ex will confirm that you made the right decision by getting away from him. In the lonely times (and there will be plenty of those), remember.....it is better to be alone than to wish you were.

I've been alone for three years now. It has helped me to appreciate a lot of things and also helped me realize a lot of others. Thanks for your well wishes. And getting away from that abusive marriage has been the best thing I could do for my kids and self. We're growing very nicely and happily. Now, I just found this new friend, actually he found me and hopefully things will go from here. Wish me luck, cause I sure am wishing you all the best in all your endeavors!!!

AIJIN - - girl - - we sound like two kindred spirits. You taken that Disney cruise yet? I've been wanting to do that for a while. It's $$ooo pricy! I do have relatives that work at the mouse house so I can get a discount. Would be awesome to cruise at the same time as one of my net buddies. Based on our ages, I'm sure my lil' darlings...HAR HAR...are a bit older than yours - - but hey - - they have quite a program laid out for the kids on that cruise. You ever seen the Travel Channel's special on that cruise? The crime scene tech at my job worked for them for years - he loved it - but left when he wanted to start a family and settle down; married a French woman he met on the ship. Awww...there we go - - maybe our romance is waiting for us on the big red and black boat! WOO HOO

I went away for a few months, but I'm back now. (I turned into a my space junkie and have made hundreds of new friends!) But I'm back and I think I've just met something absolutely dreamy. It's so late and my mind is so numb currently, it's hard to believe he was real...real, HOT! Woot! I hope this works out...cause he's the cream of the crop! WOOO...

And the cruise is really not that pricey if you book in advance and wait for that tax return honey! ^_^

Cruises? I didn't know Disney did divorces! LOL Anyway, sounds like you're in a pretty cool place right now. Bad behind, good ahead. Now, that you have all the financial stuff figured out, you can focus on you and your kids' happiness. Best of luck...and you're right, you won't be looking for long. You're young and funny and beautiful. HIS LOSS! ~K

Thank you for the compliments! I appreciate the encouragement.
