Theophrastus, we are all too aware of the obscene zealotry of religion, IE: murdering christian crusades, so-called anti-abortion christians murdering doctors and nurses, muslims flying aircraft into innocent lives in tall buildings. That stated, I am unaware of similar offenses of zeal in the equally fraudulent realm of spiritualism. Are you? Other than the mega theft of cash and items of value by the 'practitioners' of spiritualism
for hire, and murder to hopefully transfer wealth of the murdered to the charlatan, I haven't read of any real spiritual zealotry. Comments?

There are many things in this world.. We can't see or hear but they are just as real as anything else.. If you think about it isn't it funny that.. In a society that largely believes in Jesus and angels and all.. That generally goes with main stream religion.. That the idea that peoples souls or energy.. Can be left behind when they die is redickulas to many of them.. I find that odd lol.. If you can believe that we go to heaven or hell when we die.. Then why can't you fathom that maybe some get stuck in between.. Just a thought no offense to any ones religion..I believe that there are people that are more sensitive to these things then others.. I'm not really too sure about the Ouija Bord.. But I have herd bad stuff in the past about it..There def are allot of people now adays.. Just trying to make a quick buck off the hole subject.. I guess in the end its really personal choice.. As with any religion or matters of spiritualism..

"As far as I'm concerned you're no different to kids with imaginary friends. Only outside of the Shining, kids tend not to go to war or stone people to death on the basis of what their imaginary friend tells them."

THANK YOU THEO!

I am very spiritual -- definitely believe in the afterlife, *some* mediums, ghosts, spirits, reincarnation (though, I believe species stay true to species), etc.

I tampered with Ouija boards as a teen -- total waste of time (lights went out, spoke to Elvis; not my cup of tea.)

I was raised Roman Catholic, though no longer consider myself one, and have no personal use for religion...but I do respect those who do.

We are all on our own paths, after all...

Hi all. I am new here. I think I will add my two cents, if I may.

First of all, I am Jewish and while I do not observe the religion I do believe in it. Second of all, I talk to the dead. And they talk back. And they give me information that I COULD NOT know in any other way. That is not belief. That is fact. And that fact does not go against the belief system of the Jewish religion in any way... nor any of the western religions to my knowledge.

If someone blows a dog whistle, we as humans do not hear it. Yet all the dogs within a certain radius will come running. This is a perfect example of what it is like to speak with those in spirit form. Not EVERYONE's senses are able to pick up the transmission. This does not negate the experiences for the people who CAN receive the transmission.
Just like we as humans cannot hear the dog whistle, neither can we make the whistle not attract dogs.

I am not saying that there aren't some charlatans out there. Most certainly there are. But here is the perfect time for one of those silly math problems we got as kids in school.

If some of the people are charlatans and some of the people talk to the dead, then are all of the people who talk to the dead charlatans? Nope. Not at all....

I would like to believe that it is real because then a psychic could tell me when I will meet Mr. Right and I would not have to be on the internet looking. I believe that we have free will so the future is not set though. Now about ghosts.....
