This Forum should be for health and beauty...not just health. No one likes to talk about that much anyways!
Ok, girls! Sometimes we all need a little help when it comes to applying makeup and playing dress up. From brand name cosmetics to q-tips! What's your trade secret? What's the best way to rid yourself of white/blackheads? Do you pluck or wax your brows? Cap or foil? How do you blend your color palette? Which lipsticks last? Shine or Shimmer? Spill it! Cause we all wanna how...how do you put the Glam in Glamour?!!!
For me...I use noxzema face scrub...as well Biore' deep cleaning pore strips and face wipes......I NEVER wear cover up...I'm oh natural....I wear some UV sun screen when leaving the house....I put on masqara lipstick and if going out in the evening eyeshadow.....I also drink lots of H2o...and I may spoil myself and buy the Evian water spray makes my skin so sinnfully soft....BB Jeanie
I rinse my face two or three times a day, depending on the heat of the day. NO SOAP! It works for me. I usually only wear mascara a little shadow once in awhile and lipstick.
I spray Avon Skin So Soft original bath oil on the rest of me to keep my skin soft, it also smells great.
ok, so one thing i have learned, phisoderm, a face wash, works the best! it only takes a few days to completely clear your face, and it gets off makeup really well. Also, a tip i have heard once is to use white eyeliner on the bottom of your eyelid to make your face look awake! now who doesnt want to look awake? haha..
You are young and you have been blessed with gorgeous skin (well at least it looks like it to me) My beauty "secret" is all about the mainenence. I swear by Oil of Olay age defying- yes age defying at 30! They make a great face wash- I use it twice a day in the shower- and then I apply the lotion to my entire face, neck, chest, hands and feet. It makes your skin so soft and you practically glow. Plus, it keeps the skin on your hands, feet and nips from wrinkling up! I also use a minimal amout of make-up- mascara and gloss only most days. With beautiful skin there's little need for foundation/concealer. But, for blemishes I swear by Bare Minerals. They're natural and amazing. Hope this helps :)
I started wearing moisturizer at night and during the day under my makeup when I was a teenager..now that I am 50, I still do and I believe that(and good genes) are why my skin is so soft and supple. I have also worn scented body lotion for a lot of years and love how soft and smooth my skin is.

I am a big fan of clinque. They have a foaming facial wash that is perfect for my skin. I follow with Dove moisturizer with SPF15. Again it works great on my skin. For all of you who wax your eyebrows, just remember if you do it often you can increase wrinkle development around the eyes. Personally, I pluck most of the time and about 2x a year I get them waxed to reshape and clean up the strays. Qt

My beauty tip .... NIVEA CREAM, my grandmother swears by it, she is 84 and looks like she is in her early 70's I use it daily as well, its like spack filler when you put it on, but it works !!!
Not sure it's really a beauty tip...but for anyone that lives in places that get cold in the Winter time...to make sure you NEVER get those rosey cheeks again from going from the cold into a nice roasty toasty house...this is what you do:
Apply moisturizer to your face RIGHT before you leave the house. Go about your business, and when you venture in from the cold...no more rosey cheeks!
Baking soda is great as an exfoliant when fixed with cetafil or a liquid cleanser, it is very fine and you can't do any damage unlike the rough scrubs with grains in them.
wonder if that is why it can double as toothpaste in a pinch? LOL
Fortunately, I have good skin because I'm terrible at the skin care process. I'm told I look younger for my age, but it will probably catch up with me if I don't start some kind of ritual.
I just go to walmart or the drug store, buy whatever cosmetics seem interesting, and give them a try. Experimenting with different cosmetics has probably been the best way I've learned what works for me and what doesn't.
The only secret I can share (and it's not really much of a secret) is to moisturize and use sunscreen everyday.
If anyone has any good product info they'd like to share...I'm all ears. I'm a total girlie girl and love this stuff!
ThePhatGirl write: Aijin, you are too beautiful to be askin that! You need to tell ME how, LoL (Somebody help me!)
Talk to my parents girl! *LMAO* Although Mary Kay seems to work fairly well. I've been reading glamour tips online as well and just going from there. Most of my makeup is experimental, that's why I want other tips. I'd love to know how to do the mascara and eyeliner to make the "cat" eyes. So...to quote you..."(Somebody help me!) ^_~
Lipstick that lasts: Avon Perfect Wear
lasts 6-8 hours.
Getting rid of blackheads or reduce large pores: Use a handheld steamer
on your face to open the pores up
then use a handheld pore cleaner
that literally cleans out the pores
dirt. Then use a pore refining mask
to close the pores again.
