Typically I love comedies because laughter is the best drug on earth. The list is too long for posting but some titles include:
Cheech & Chong's Up in Smoke and Nice Dreams
Hamburger - The Motion Picture
Porky's 1 & 2
Blame it on Rio
Caddyshack
Spaceballs
Road Trip
Bring it On
Fargo
Miss Congeniality
SouthPark - Bigger, Longer...
Victor Victoria

But there is much to be said for drama...
Fabulous Baker Boys
The Color Purple
The House of Sand and Fog
ALL Harry Potter
Devil's Advocate

Where to start? Anything by Mel Brooks like Spaceballs and Blazing Saddles! I have been on a ten year foreign film kick and love Amelie, The City of Lost CHildren, Delicatessen, Like Water for Chocolate. Anyone got any more good foreign films for me?
Good date movies? I like the scarey ones! I bought Saw and The Grudge and they were both pretty good.
Also liked Finding Neverland! I could go on and on! And don't forget Waking Ned Devine! A must see!

I don't like the "odd-ball" or "dorky" comedies, per say - LOL - but check out "SIDEWAYS"; I believe it comes out on video Tuesday.

My favorite movies are The Godfather and The Color Purple (I know, I know, so different!). I love suspense and action films.

Did I mention I work part-time at BlockBuster? LMAO Will gladly host movie night at my house!

I absolutely love movies too. How could anyone not love "An affair to remember"? And the Coens are brilliant. I think my favourite of their movies would be "The Barber" or "Fargo" I like all sorts of films, and living in Paris the variety of films on offer here is just wonderful. Everything from documentaries, to blockbusters, to independent Asian or European cinema. Just writing this makes me want to go see a movie.. lol

I love movies! I have to agree with you on the Coen Bros. However, Fargo is my favorite.

My Favorite all time movies are "An Affair to Remember" with Cary Grant and Debra Kerr. Also, "Sound of Music" as for more current films I could watch anything with Mel Gibson or Richard Gere in it. But Im a girl and of course love the girly flicks!
