Some of my favs would be...The Court Jester with Danny Kaye. The pellet with the poison is in the vessel with the pessel!
Mr Roberts-Henry Fonda should have won the oscar.
Slap Shot-putting on the foil with the Hanson brothers!
Superman-You'll believe a man can fly.
The Late Shift-Leno vs Letterman and Kathy Bates swearing like a trucker.
Star Trek First Contact-Borg sounds swedish.
Operation Peticoat-Pink Submarine that sinks a truck.
Bossman - - that is an awesome movie - - probably my third favorite....
......and Vixen - - no you're not mad to say Mary Poppins - - hell, The Lion King is one of my favorites; and Mulan; and Finding Nemo......oh good grief.... guess you're not the only one that's hopeless.
I have to say my fave films is a rather eclectic mix! I adore girlie flicks like Beaches and Dirty Dancing, and the classics like Breakfast at Tiffany's and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Love all Quentin Tarantino movies (what can I say, I was a student when Pulp Fiction came out and it was kinda compulsory to love it!), adore Saturday Night Fever, but my all time favouritest of favourite films has to be Baz Luhrman's version of Romeo and Juliet! That bit at the end when Juliet comes to just before Romeo dies, but he's already taken the poison, so its too late...
OK i havent seen this movie posted yet, but one of my fav all time movies is The Shawshank Redemption. that is one of those movies that i will watch whenever it is on.
aaaaaw some good films hvae cropped up, i have to say that "muppets christmas carol" is my fave, and yes i know the words and will always sing along, even though im not a big michael caine fan, but its my "happy" film, and will ALWAYS cheer me up, of course big monty python fan "life of brian" first then "holy grail" oooo does anybody remember "hairspray"? lmao film with ricky lake and divine? always makes me laugh! hasnt been on brit telly since the 80'-early90's but ive still got a very bad copy!
I absolutely love comedy so I have to say some of my favs are: Young Frankenstein (Gene Wilder kills me!!), Stir Crazy with Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor (when they have Richard Pryor in the infirmary of the prison-it just cracks me up!!, Dracula, Dead and Loving It (leslie Neilson is great!), any of the Naked Gun movies.
Arsenic and Old Lace is great, too. Gary Grant is so suave. I like old black and white movies on rainy Sundays, just sitting on the couch curled up with someone and watching movies, is so much fun. I loved Pirates of the Caribbean (Johnny Depp is a great actor, basing his character on Keith Richards of the Stones!!!!)Don't laugh, I'm NOT a nerd, but I also love the Lord of the Rings series. Great cinematography in those movies. It didn't hurt to have Orlando Bloom in those movies either. ;-)
I watched White C h i c k s (I can't believe they won't let me put it without spaces!?) last night and nearly wet myself!!
While you were sleeping, with Sandra Bullock, is one of my all time favs.
Titanic, A Knights Tale, Sister Act, True Lies and City Slickers are great.
Comedy wise, The Pink Panther movies, with Peter Sellars, have me in absolute fits of giggles......brilliant.
Hey well of the lovey dovey film (which I'm guessing you mean as this is the romance forum!!!) then my top 5 are:
1 - Armageddon (love Bruce)
2 - Dirty dancing (love partick and the dancing!)
3 - Top Gun (Tom looks so hot!)
4 - Jerry Maguire (again tom is hot - but love it when he says "you complete me" - isn't it every womans dream to here a guy say those words to them and mean it?)
5 - Moulin Rouge (I love how it takes the mick out of love songs!!!)
