You guys are all doing great! I'm in on this diet with you! I joined weight watchers and the gym with a trainer and have been stuck at the same place for a few weeks now. It is soo frustrating, isn't it?? How do you all deal with not losing even though you are doing what you should be?
Hey hey :) Start of a new diet today (Again ;) ) This time I'm gonna be serious about it and stick to it. So far I've had no snacks and a bowl of parsnip soup. I also joined the gym a couple of months back. I was gonna go today but my bad knees giving me grief.. I look forward to hearing people's progress :)
I have never used the word "diet".. i call it a change of lifestyle :)
I exercise more..eat things better for me, watch my white carb intake...keep my mental state healthy and meditate. Sure, I have my "treats" now and then..but since I have allowed myself to have them periodically i find i dont crave them as much.
Most likely I will never be a size 10 again and thats ok cause I am happier overall now more then ever in my life.

I'm so glad to hear others are wanting to lose weight and be healthy too. I keep getting bigger...and bigger...and bigger the more I try to change my eating habits or begin a work out program! I really enjoy reading all of your inspiring comments and am soooo glad for this site!
Hi I'd like to join too. I'd really just like to be comfortable in my clothes again. I've joined a couple of colleges classes, weight trainin, Tai Chi & walking. This way I'm obligated to go to get a good grade, that always motivates me. I start on Monday, so wish me luck. I hope I don't burn out. I'm also going to try eliminating sodas and incorporate more fruits and vegetables into my diet.
Hi everyone. I'm not "dieting" per se, but I have changed my eating habits. I don't eat meat, eggs, or dairy, and over the past 4 months or so I've lost about 32 pounds effortlessly. I would love to find an exercise motivation buddy, though.....that's where I'm lacking. Anyone else?
If you can afford it, get a personal trainer. Most gyms have them at pretty good rates. You're guaranteed to see results soon and they push you beyond belief but it is a great feeling and the results make it well worth it!
I found this site called S-l-i-m .com and after so many points you get a 50 dollar gift certificate from stores liek Victoria's Secret and others.
It's really cool. Not free, it's about 20 dollars to start, but the more you update your eating habits and excercise habits, and log in your weight after a few days (or everyday if you choose to) the more points!
I like it and was with the weight/eating/excersice updates, you are SUPRISED at how much and what you eat just by logging it in.

I wanted to check in to let you all know how I am progressing. I did well at my last curves weigh in I have now lost 27.50 lbs and 28.50 inches total. I would have liked to have lost more but I am having a hard time restricting the number of calories I take in. I am better at it but I need to do more. I need to have more will power. I am eating 6 small meals a day. I guess sometimes my choices are bad. I drink water and I eat off of small plates. I know I should do a food journal. I tried and then stopped. I believe that is avoidance. Does anyone have advice for me?

I lost 85 pounds and my husband divorced me after 8 yrs of marriage. The funny part about the divorce is that he moved next door to me (oi vey)!
Well....the judge will understand why I killed him, since he moved next door after being divorced almost a year!
Of course, I have started gaining the weight back and am now fighting the battle of the brave.
I too agree with the caffiene comment, I have given it up and feel less nervous and less emotional.
My blood pressure has gone down considerably...(after going sky high from ex moving so close).
I have recently given up sugar, but am trying to not have a "diet mind", as that always screws me up in the end.

I enjoy my visits to curves. You can join for a year and pay a $100 membership fee plus the first month. If you want you can pay $29 per month for a year's committment or pay $39 for a month to month membership. I feel it was the best decision I have made in regards to my health. The people @ the sites are supportive and nice. They make sure you use the equipment the right way. The machines are not difficult to use. They have a diet if you want to go on one. You only need to work out for 30 minutes 3x per week. I feel it is worthile to go into a center and ask if they have any discounts. You can also try it out to see if you like it before joining.
Hi everyone, I'm pretty new but I wanted to reply to this post.
I've been trying to walk more and eat more healthy. I don't expect to lose a bunch of weight, all I really want is too lose some belly fat. I've also been lifting weights.
I've only been doing this for a short time and I've cheated this weekend, but not too bad.
I've cut pop out completely and I'm attempting to cut out meat. I don't really eat it much anyway so it hasn't been too hard. I'm trying to keep fruit and veggies around so when I need to snack at least it isn't on chips or cookies.

I have lost 20lbs and 17 inches in 3 months. I still have a long way to go. I have been talking with others, praying and adding activities to my life that I enjoy besides eating. I believe it is a mind set. You need to want to change in order to do so. Change involves learning new habits that can benifit you. I feel you also have to set your goals and then evalauate them to see if they are working for you. You may have set backs but then you refocus and start again. Gee I usually don't say much but this is something I feel strongly about.
Hello everyone! I thought I would join this support group. I lost about 35 pounds last year on a low carb diet. I was doing great for several months. Then the diet stopped working. I exercised 6 days a week and couldn't get it going again. i started eating normal again and unfortunately gained all the weight plus back. I am back on track I am exercise 5-6 days a week and seriously condisering weight watchers. Wish me luck as I wish all of you.
I totally and completely agree with that. I do think we are judged by our outsides period the end. Put your profile on Match.Com and see how many hits you get. The minute the word "fat", "large" or any references to any sizes beyond Petite/slender/Average and you might as well be blowing kisses in the wind. What rolls me is if you look at the profiles of some of these clowns, they have no business judging anyone, but they do! Gets me really riled up...
