My name is Stephanie and I am new to the site. I was reading the postings and found out that were neighbors. I was born in Monroe and lived in Tallulah until I was 16. I now reside in Las Vegas, NV and wanted to say hi.....take care!

I'm Amber. I've started from the beginning and read all the posts so I'm gonna make all my comments in one shot!!!
I'm a single mom for Monroe, Louisiana. I am a case manger working with the elderly. I'll be 39 in July, but most day I feel like I am WAY over 300. I have found that being fat has helped me with one thing in life: I have very few wrinkles to worry about.... Oil of Olay can grab for my money all the want... It's mine, I tell you!! Mine!!!
I love almost everything 70's and 80'S - especially the music!
To Mr. Scot - You'd better cool it with that brogue or I may have to get my transporter out of storage...
and being 38, I know I don't have to ask to join. However, I need to know if you are going to tear my membership card out of my cold, dead, 40 year-old hands in 18 months??? Seriously, I still don't know what all the fuss is about aging. MY mother laid in bed and cried the whole day she turned thrity... With the admonistion "You'll see... just wait till it's your turn. It's horrible..." I turned 30... nothing happened. I turned 35.... nothing happened. 38 was great. I guess it doesn't bother me to get older because I keep thinking that when I was 22 I was married, had a great house in Georgia, was active in Community Theatre.... And I was EXTERMELY suicidal. Approaching forty is wonderful because I am greatful for having made it this far. The only thing I dread in the daily arthritis pain.... And that has to do with my weight and not my age.
So, I'll leave you with one of my favorite quotes that seems to fit, "Find me in F***ing New York City for your quarter".... Oh, sorry ignore her. THe Doctor said she had already been integrated.... the quote I like is, "If you can't be happy for what you have, be happy for what you have escaped." :D
