Hey all,

My job is pretty boring compared to all of yours. I have to say that I highly admire those of you who work with children and adults alike to make a difference in their lives.

Me? I'm a paper pusher. I work in an accounting department for a company that sells vitamins and additives for foods, cosmetics, etc in bulk. Kinda hard to explain, but if you eat or drink or use soap or makeup, you have probably used our products. LOL

Yes.....Pre-School....i also work in a residential home for the elderly so i seem to be cleaning up number ones and number two's for a living...lol.

I really admire anyone that works in a challenging profession...i don't think i could do it so i take my hat off to all of you.

I don't think it's a coincidence that all these BIG BEAUTIFUL people are in caring professions....just an observation.

I too work for hospice. I am the bookkeeper and the Assistant Volunteer Coordinator. Hospice is a great place to work. It is not for everyone, but for those of us who do it.... it is very rewarding when you are able to make someone's last days full of love, life and happiness!

I'm a foster parent. I keep difficult to place teenage boys. It's a difficult job that I love. Sometimes I get discourage as to whether I'm making a difference or not but then one of my boys surprise me with progress and then it's all worth it. I'm also a student studying to become a licensed clinical social worker(LCSW) so that I may do counseling and threapy.

i myself live at home with my 7yr old who has adhd so i dont work just a plain old mum :))

I am a program director for a community based mental health agency. I run a transitional facility for adults who have sever and persistent mental illness; such as schizophrenia or bi- polar disorder. We assist our clients to develop or learn the skills they will need to live independently. Those skills are anything from cooking or caring for thier physical person to even more importantly managing thier symptoms and learning coping skills.

So thats what I do.

Hi Bubs, I am also a nurse and work in the community. I do home health and hospice. Your right it is a sad job at times but it is also very fulfilling and rewarding. I have worked in the hospitals and long term care but this is the job I love the most. I have met so many wonderful and interesting people and made some wonderful friends along the way.
