So far my collection of tattoos include (from my first to last): a gemini symbol behind my ear, a black widow and her web behind my ear, a kitty on my ankle, a swallow on my wrist, another kitty on my inner ankle, Lenore (comic book) on my forearm, dracula on my arm, Frankenstein on my arm, skull with purple bow on my ankle, then my latest is a Tripping robot on my arm

I love tats. I currently have one, tribal vampire fangs on the back of my neck at the base. When I can afford it, I plan to add a gothic-Halloween scene from shoulder to shoulder across my back. Maybe a full moon with a bat flying through it on my left breast someday.

I have 2 tatoos, one on each ankle. I love my martini glass, a friend and I got them to commemerate our "martini monday" outings. The other I would definitely like to change. I would like to get more, but my problem is that as a nurse I really can't have them visible. I thought about getting one on the nape of my neck, but I'm selfish, I want to see my tats

I got my first tattoo last September and I still just love it. My brother and I are getting tats together in this summer and I can't wait. I love the history of tattoos and find the stories behind them fascinating. Full sleeve tattoos are my favorite. The intricate detail and process is amazing.

I have a tattoo of a frog on the outside of my left ankle. I have collected frogs since I was 15 years old - LONG TIME AGO. My tattoo was copied from one of my favorite frog pins. My daughter and I got tattooed on her 18th birthday, along with 3 other women from my office. We were ages 18 to 50 - OH WHADDA NIGHT! I love my little frog, I still cannot believe that I actually got a tatto, and I will never do it again - IT HURT. My daughter wants to get another one. Her first one is a conch seashell copied from a conch that my mother had given me years before. No one else has tattoos like ours.

hi i have 5 tattoo's and love them all apart from 1 on my chest which i will probably have covered up eventually, i personaly prefer uncoloured tatts. i have a flower & butterfly on chest, an eye on my stomach, chinese writing on my back, a fairy wearing knee high boots on my left thigh(has done for a black sabbath concert) I sketched it myself & a large mixed fantasy scene on my right leg which i never got round to getting finished!(one day!) I love to see skin art on men it is so sexy especially tribal! people do judge you which i think is wrong, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion! anyone can be another sheep in the herd!!! its cool to be individual!

picture of my leg piece (unfinished)

Well as i can see all of you beautiful tattooed people are very confident in yourselves and their are a few not so sure about the whole thing. It is true that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it is sertinaly true that a tattoo no matter how old you get will take you back to that time. One thing is for sure and that is tattoos will certianly affect your lifes path.If you think you are a person that may regret haveing a tattoo then you will find that you are a person who will regret other actions in your life.Tattooed people generally never regret anything and live their lives to the fullest.
As they say a person should try everything at least once and you can not nock it till you have.Cheers...

I've got four planned so far, just waiting for my tax to come in so I can start on them, heh ^^' Three of them I've had planned for the last two/three years, three are my own design ... now comes the fun of finding a tattoo parlour I like and dealing with the pain ^^'
I think tatts are fantastic if you have them/want them when they express a part of yourself. I don't like these people who go and get them just to look cool, I'd rather they meant something to the person other than a fashion statement. They're permanent things unless you're willing to have them surgically removed, which a lot of people (well, at least in my age group here anyway) don't seem to realise; it's why I've thought about them and their placement for so long before I've bitten the bullet, so to speak, because I'm thinking of what they'll look like when I hit my grandparents' age.

I concur with everyone else that tattoos are indeed great, cool, sexy, fun. I have two, sort of. I have a Zuni bear fetish tattoo on my upper right arm, but with several planets & stars around it, so it's actually one big tattoo with 12 little ones. And I have a blue Buffalo Gal on my inside left ankle. But can we set aside the aforementioned coolness & sexiness of tattoos and talk about the PAIN?!? While I found my Zuni bear fetish tattoo on my upper arm to be painful (it's inked all black, and I had several carving artists...uh, I mean, tattoo on it at different times), I'd equate the HUGELY painful experience of receiving my Buffalo Gal ankle tat to childbirth (or nearly so, based on the horrible descriptions I've heard of pushing a mini-person through your 'gina). My question is this: why do we do it? Why do we put up with such physical pain just to wear a cool piece of artwork on our skin? What do we get from it? Why do we put up with it? I have my own theories, but I'd be interested to hear those of others. How painful was getting your tat? Where is the most painful area on your body to be tatted? And, above all, why did you do it?
