ok, well this one is more of a saying really:

I ran up the door, Closed the stairs, Said my pajamas, And put on my prayers. Turned off the bed, and hopped in the light, all because you kissed me goodnight!

The one that has served me well is from an anonymous source: "Don't sweat the petty stuff, and don't pet the sweaty stuff."

ETA: Eek, why is my picture in two places? Sorry 'bout this--I'm new.

This is one of the lines said on my radio station in the morning before the seven o'clock hour. I dont think anyone famous said it.

Something my mama always said:

"If they will talk about others to you, then you can believe that they are talking about YOU to others"

Mama was a wise lady

Whenever cannibals are on the brink of starvation, Heaven, in its infinite mercy, sends them a fat missionary.

-Oscar Wilde

This tickles me as a twisted perspective on positivity, racism, religion and fat-phobia in one sentence.

Uh oh -- I'm in Theo territory now!

Pick yourself up,
Dust yourself off,
Put one foot in front of the other,
and keep on going.

That got me through some tough times.

One of my favorites is:
Its not the size of the package but whats inside that counts.
I apply this to my self being the "package" and other people.
And also ," Good things come to those who wait", I've been waiting a long time for good things to come my way,but in the mean time Im gonna make some things happen.
And also LIFE Happens. It definateily does for me, and I never know what from day to day. Cant plan on anythingbut trying to laugh about it all.

When one door of happiness closes, another opens;but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one
which has opened for us. - Helen Keller

I have three (not including the Voltaire quotation from the first post)

There are only two kinds of people who are really fascinating: people who know absolutely everything, and people who know absolutely nothing.

Oscar Wilde

It's always easier to seek forgiveness than ask permission.
(Not sure)

Marriage is a wonderful institution, but who wants to be institutionalized.
