Ok well right now it'll have to be Lionel Richie's Hello:
"Hello!
Is it me you're looking for?
Becuase I wonder where you are
And I wonder what you do
Are you somewhere feeling lonely?
Or is someone loving you?
Tell me how to win your heart
For I haven't got a clue
But let me start by saying I love you"
"When you see the Southern Cross for the first time
You understand now why you came this way
'Cause the truth you might be running from is so small
But it's as big as the promise
The promise of a comming day..."
I don't listen to it much, but Southern Cross always makes me stop & close my eyes... there's something very real about those words!
Right now my theme song has to be "God Bless the Broken Road" In the past two weeks I have had so many men hiting on me only to find out later that they were jerks that I am so looking for that northern star. I hope I find him soon.
My theme song when I was in love was Nick Cave's "The Ship Song". Never mind all that sickly sweet "I'd die for you" guff, just a dose of real emotion from a tortured soul.
Sounds nasty but, my theme song for a long time was a song remade by Sarah Brightman called "Anytime, Anywhere" LOLOL!! Yes, that was it. The original piece was written by Italian composer Ennio Morricone for the movie "The Mission." Sarah added lyrics to it and there it was....anytime, anywhere!
Scoot baby, if you were older and closer, I'd swipe you right off this site & keep you with me forever - you are the cutest thing I've ever seen.
My theme songs change according to what I'm going through. Everything from Helen Reddy's "I am Woman" to The Bee Gees "How Do You Mend A Broken Heart".
Only constant song is the one I want for my first dance if I ever get married, Backstreet Boys "As Long As You Love Me" - don't care who you are, don't care where you're from, don't care what you've done just as long as you love me - ultimate past-is-the-past starting over love song as far as I'm concerned.
I'd say my theme song would be Madonna's Open Your Heart
"I see you on the street and you walk on by
You make me wanna hang my head down and cry
If you gave me half a chance you'd see
My desire burning inside of me
But you choose to look the other way....
Open your heart to me, baby
I hold the lock and you hold the key"
