Guess I'm just an old cynic, but "blessed with a spouse" ????
I've been to some great places with friends and hope to do so again. And as and when there might be a special man in my life I'd like to think a top holiday isn't just reserved for the honeymooners. I also think the company is equally or even more important than the destination.
So for me, a bag of chips on the seafront down the road with the right companion could be just as good as the full blown tropical experience.
Well I am not looking to get married and I am not leaving anything up to god. But if I were to vacation with a male partner I would go to Russia in the summertime. I would love to walk the same streets that Dostoyevsky did.
I'd love to spend some time on a beach -clear blue waters, white sands, walking hand in hand, making love - no mobile phones, internet or clothes allowed.
I would like to go.....
Just go on a honey moon! lol A honeymoon would be nice anywhere, as long as I was with the man that I married. We could agree on just about anything and I would be happy.
My theme would be Seclusion, Seclusion, Seclusion. Some place cold, quiet, and beautiful. I've always wanted to check Montana out. A nice modern cabin (don't want to rough it too much), snow capped mountains, and no merchants trying to sell you souvenirs at every turn.
I would like to go to The Poconos. There is a resort up there that have 2 story cabins that the living room has a 2 story jacuzzi in the shape of a large champagne glass. It is really nice! But, as long as I am with the man I love, we could be in Antarctica for all I care!
I agree with one of those huts over the ocean with a view below to view the sealife. As long as there's no phone, except to room service, and no TV so we'd have plenty of time alone to just enjoy each other and where we are at.
I've always believed that the first time you see Venice... it should be with a man who loves you so I am saving it for that special day. If he doesn't get here by the time I'm 70 though... I'll probably go on my own. :)
Actualy I was Planning my honeymoon for my X and I, It was the PERFECT place in Hawaii, It was on Honalulu a small 1 couple resort private beach food brought to you every morning, bedroom, Hottub, Fireplace ,large glass atrium.Natural botanical garden and paths. It was absolutley georgous. Needless to say never happend. :( But it's still my dream.
I'd have to skip any place I'd need to wear a swimsuit...lol.
I Want to go to Disney World!! Sounds childish I know, but I think it would be so romantic and fun. Just me and him. The kids would have to stay home!!
Considering that I've been married twice and still never been on a honeymoon... I WILL insist on it as part of the marriage agreement if I ever get married again. lol
I don't even care where... just somewhere nice, romantic and away from my area... with the man I'll spend the rest of my life with!
WIBanker write: I'm thinking a mountain cabin in the dead of winter. Roaring fire in the stone fire place, hot tub on the deck that you can sit in during a snow storm and look out over the mountains and the evergreens. No one else for 100 miles. hot toddies and big warm quilts and no telephone or TV.
Sounds like my kind of place! Couldn't have described it better myself!
