I am having LOUSY luck! I met one that was "ashamed" to be seen with me.
And one who I've been IM'ing on Yehoo Messenger since July! But he tells me he likes to go out with the co-workers for drinks...which is fine with me. But WHILE ON THE SAME SUBJECT...he tells me that he once got soo drunk he slept on this co-workers (girl) couch.
Not a thing you want to tell someone you WANT TO MEET!
I have a profile on Yehoo Personals, made 2 good friends out of it but geez...more superficial people on there!

Well, I don't know why, but I am not having very good luck with this process either. I met someone, he came on stong and I beleived that he was interested. Then he just disappeared. This is AFTER 2 dates; AND a follow up conversation saying he had a great time (initiated by him). I have sent out winks to others and emails too....and I'm not getting any responses.
I get tons of winks from the creepy guys with nasty profile names or captions. Seems like no nice men from my area or state or region are interested.
I won't give up. But I am a little disappointed at the moment.

I have met a couple men from the site and continue contact with a couple that I still haven't met face to face yet. I've met some very nice men, but most either want a serious relationship NOW or don't want anything but a 'play' partner.
I've communited with a few men from this site, but never met.....I did meet a man from another site and we had a relationship for 1 yr. But it ended this past New Years Eve....
Had plenty of winks and emails, but seems most guys dont read the profiles properly and what I am looking for. Made a couple of very good friends outside the UK, met a couple of guys, one turned out to be a user, another we have stayed in touch and go out for a drink occasionally, but the ones I seem interested in dont understand that sometimes ppl who have been the victim of a violent relationships tend to be more cagey, well sometimes, and also people are not willing to talk to you after the initial ice breaker, they expect u to take the initiative to keep it going! From experience :(
