Every morning i do breathing and stretching exercises. In the afternoon, i walk about 30 min. Its something that's my lifestyle along with the way i eat. If I get bored with the walk in the afternoon, I'll bike or just change my route.
Hey, thanks for the positive boost! I agree that exercising regularly is important and it makes me feel a lot better. I'm still over 450 pounds but I walk everyday for a couple hours, as much as I can.
Regular exercise -- in any form, that you do at least 2 - 3 hours per week, that gets your heart rate up to at least 60 per cent of capacity -- is the most loving thing we can do for ourselves!
For me, walking is good enough, as long as I do it enough. I'm 40 years old and almost 500 pounds but still walk around a lot, a couple hours everyday. If I didn't do it, I'd probably be 700 pounds by now...
Congratulations to everybody that has been getting healthier...and Gordon, stick with it. Its a lifestyle change, not a quick fix. Remember, you didn't gain it all over-night, it took some time and will take some time to come off.
I have a multi-station machine in my garage that I try to use for about 1 hr. a day, 3 days a week. That and LA Weightloss has helped me lose 60 lbs. so far in about 4-5 mos. I have a long way to go, but the important thing is its going.

I FINALLY worked my was up to 65 minutes on the Stair Stepper! Geez I'm glad I quite smoking! I love it cause I go into a Zen-Like state when I'm all sweaty and the music on my MP3 is playing!
I also do weights with lots of reps BEFORE cardio...IN THE MORNING! Especially squats, which work your ENTIRE lower half! If you work out first thing in the morning (before breakfast),you burn what ever carbs you stored from the day before...PLUS..by the time you move on to cardio..your body goes into FAT BURNING MODE!!!!
I lost 15 so far..my weight did fluctuate back up(before I really started getting serious about it) and now I got a handle on it. And it's coming off FAST!
I am realizing that: I DON'T have to eat when I feed my daughter! She's 3 and likes EVERYTHING. I have to learn NOT to eat what she doesn't finish.
I'm not advocating the: "lose the darned weight and be skinny" type of mentality. I have Diabetes and Heart Disease running rampant in my family, and although I might get it (heredity) I want to be able to control it.
I know I'll never be a size 1 ever again ( thanks to Metabolife years ago), but at least I'll have an abundance of energy to keep up with my 3 year old...I call her Hurricane Abby!

I'm doing a routine at home about 3 to 5 times a week with focus on my tummy and toosh. I've noticed it gives me extra energy and my clothes are starting to fit me better. I do have a big tooshie. I don't want to lose it just firm and tone it. Maybe a toosh like Buffie the Body or Trina would be cool. Wish I knew their fitness routines...
I have lost 100 pouds in the last 8 months by walking 4-5 times a week for an hour and swimming 3 times a week for an hour also. I made all my friends join with me so I never lack for company and if I know someone is waiting for me I can't flake. Chasing Patient bells up and down the hallways at work doesn't hurt either.
i alternate between weight training and cardio every other day 6 days a week soo i dont over do it!!! ive even thrown in some squats on the ball lol and some crunches.tummys getting flat :)
I walk every day (40 min. Mon to Thurs. and Fri. Sat. Sund. 1 hour and 20 min) which has worked wonders for me. I go around a walking trail. And, I also have been watching what I have been eating so far so good. I've lost one dress size already.
I joined a gym about two weeks ago. Eliptical Trainer. It's awesome. YOU WANNA FEEL THE BURN? I'm also weight training and can leg press 300lbs. I gotta work on the arms more though. I'm attending Cardio Kick, which is more dance aerobics on Thursday mornings, I have Pilates on Tuesday nights to help keep me limber and Monday and Friday Nights I am kick boxing. WOO! I have a full schedule. And after just two weeks. I'm noticing the difference!!! Woo hoo!
Luckily, I'm in walking distance to my office. Especially with the price of Gas!!!!. 20 minute walk to & from work and walking on my lunch break 5 days a week.
anyone want to know what the single best exercise is?(using your own bodyweight..no special equipment!) SQUATS!
Oh my gosh! It really puts you into the BURN mode. You're sore as H@LL the next day, but it's the only exercise where you work your ENTIRE lower body all at once. I've only lost 1 inch around my hips but hey...results are the best motivators!
