Hi fif,
Clotted cream is the richest type of cream, it is made by slowly scalding fresh milk (straight from the cow)in a pan for several hours then allowing it to cool overnight. By morning you should have a crusty thick cream that can be skimmed from the milk, it has a rich creamy and slightly nutty flavour and a dense consistency, similar to whipped cream.
Well ladies and gents that concludes todays dairy knowledge, tomorrow we discover the joys of cow-tipping.

This is the greatest thing I have ever seen. A bunch of "FaT" people talking about food. I am so hungry now I'm about to at the computer!! I'm a Black man in Atlanta so of course I love Fried Chicken with Collard Greens, Blackeyed peas, Mac and Cheese, Corn bread, and Potatoe salad. Oh Yeah... Peach Cobbler to Finish !!!!!!!

Hey, we should have a picnic; anyon else near Atlanta?

Gotta be, steamed seabass with ginger, lemongrass and chilles. seved with Basmati rice and stir-fried mixed peppers and spring onions (scallions).
with a little mango chutney and lime mayo on the side.
or
Baked fresh salmon with a wild herb crust, and hot potato & onion salad.
and finish off with a dish of Kirsch soaked strawberries, real chocolate sauce for dipping and a dollop of clotted cream.

Rockchick--I just doesn't sound very appealing to me, but I guess it's an aquired taste. I'd heard that you either love it or hate it but I wasn't really sure exactly what it was. Thanks for the explanation!

Anything spicy! My favorites are mexican, spaghetti, lasagna, pizza, chilli dogs, french fries. My favorite fries are at Cindy's Cafe in Kenmare, 'Sour Cream & Chive Fries' and I dip it in hot sauce usually, not ketchup. Unless I'm also drinking a soda, because hot sauce and soda doesn't taste very good together.

No Rockchick, you aren't a doofus. You just don't know. There's never any harm in admitting you don't know something and asking will only get you an answer. Let me ask you a question that I've been dieing to ask an Aussie...what does vegemite (sp?) taste like? How's THAT for a silly question? lol

Although I won't pass on a good steak.

Chocolate chip cookies!
Ice Cream! (Chocolate chip of course.)

Comfort foods;
mashed potatoes
tuna fish sandwich with
Campbell's vegatable beef soup.
Homemade soups

Rockchick--I can't really answer that question 'cause I've never had anything but snow crab legs. They do live in the snow, Alaska to be exact, at least that's where the one's around here come from. I know along the southeastern seaboard of the US they have Blue Crab. Smaller then Snow Crabs, probabaly taste pretty close to the same but not really sure.

My favorite foods are Lobster or Salmon. I also LOVE Italian food. Of course cheese (Rockchick, you started something here!) I love veggies, too. Grilled asparagus, peppers, onions, zucchini, squash. All that is soooo good. I like to grill all year round and anything grilled tastes better!(lobster is wonderful grilled). Also, living in the south, you gotta love fried chicken and cornbread, biscuits and fresh home-grown tomatoes, down home cookin'!
