Rockchick--I can't really answer that question 'cause I've never had anything but snow crab legs. They do live in the snow, Alaska to be exact, at least that's where the one's around here come from. I know along the southeastern seaboard of the US they have Blue Crab. Smaller then Snow Crabs, probabaly taste pretty close to the same but not really sure.
My favorite foods are Lobster or Salmon. I also LOVE Italian food. Of course cheese (Rockchick, you started something here!) I love veggies, too. Grilled asparagus, peppers, onions, zucchini, squash. All that is soooo good. I like to grill all year round and anything grilled tastes better!(lobster is wonderful grilled). Also, living in the south, you gotta love fried chicken and cornbread, biscuits and fresh home-grown tomatoes, down home cookin'!
Mexican food is my favorite, My ex-husband taught me to cook tamales the orginal way, of course different latin countries all put diff things in them. they are my favorite food when done right with mexican rice not spanish rice.and sour cream and gacamole and chips.
I also do areally good baked raspberry salsa checken breast with roasted potatoes.
Man ! that sounds good!!!!!!!
I have cravings for cheese at the moment (I don't even like it) I'm not pregnant or anything I think I have a calcium deficiency (is that how you spell it ) or something!!
Rockchick--Collard greens are similar to spinach but with a slight mustardy taste.
Favorite foods for me would be steak (preferably nothing with a bone, cooked medium rare), snow crab legs with drawn butter, my grandmother's vegetable soup, fettuccine alfredo, chicken spadeini (sp?) and stuffed artichokes. Now I'm hungry.......
