OP Artichokes are something I have never really been game to eat, only cause they grow like wild fire here all over peoples fences and they look like they belong to the weed family !! lol

Hey jeanot, all the ingredients are in there , but I will list them again for you ....

Lebanese bread (or pita bread but large ones)

Pesto

Cheese (mozzarella or tasty for base and a sprinkling of Romano or Parmesan for the top)

Capsicum (or peppers as you guys call em)

Zucchini (or gourgettes or something that you guys call em)

Eggplant (or eggplant as u call em!!:P)

Mushrooms

Pine nuts (roasted to sprinkle)

Salami or ham or proscuito

Spread a good amount of pesto on the base of the leb bread, sprinkle mozz or tasty cheese , slice in strips the meat of your preferance and scatter over base, thinly slice your vegies and bake them, place your capsicum, eggplant and zucchini... over meat and sautee your mushies and put on top, sprinkle pine nuts and romano or pamesan (either optional) over top and bake in over for about 15 mins on moderate heat ... then add your sour cream (optional as well) , you can bake your vegies way ahead of time and assemble pizza later, its not biggie ;) its SOOOOOO YUMMY !!!

OMG - UZ GUYZ ALL SO FUNNY! hehe. Seriously though, I love reading all these...Scoot, RockChick - EVERYONE!

Ok HERE IS MY ALL TIME FAVE (some of you have mentioned it) BUT I cook it the best anywhere...ask my friends and family - they'll tell ya!

Stuffed Artichokes. NO BUTTER - ICKY!!! But stuffed with bread crumbs, parmesean cheese, olive oil, garlic and lots of lemon - steam until tender, pluck off each leaf and scrape the "meat" and stuffing off the leaf with your teeth! SO YUMMY!

Usually when doing this in a resturant we get lots of stares, but being Italian that is THE ONLY WAY TO EAT THEM!!!!!

Going home tonite to make some, gata now! Belly rumbling....

I only like cheese when it comes in little cubes or on nachos...
But I love anything fried, but I've pretty much cut that out of my diet. Grilled chicken is my new best friend. I love potatoes in any way, shape or form.

another nice thing I like to make to eat ...and its EASY PEASY TOO !!

you get a large piece of leb bread or I think you call it pita over in the states but not the little pita pocket thingies altho i spose they would kinda work... and smear creamy sundried tomato pesto on it... and sprinkle CHEESE (Mmmmmmmm chheeeese) on it ... then sliced salami as in Danish, or ham or proscuito... grilled Capsicum, eggplant and zucchini and sauteed mushies .... sprinkle romano or parmesan cheese on top and roasted Pine nuts.... bake and then a dolop of sour cream on each 1/4 .... mmmmmmmm its so yummy !!

Hey Rockchick.
And here I was thinking it was only the rivers, lakes and ocean's around Australia that were dangerous, still it beats dunkin donuts. So I will be only too happy to come and demonstrate my culinary skills for you if you will do the dishes. lol

TACOS!!!! As a Southwesterner transplanted to the East Coast, I'm in withdrawals for tacos in real fried corn tortillas, not those darn shells that all the Mexican restaurants are using these days!

I'm also inordinately fond of rib eye, and of pork baby back ribs and corn on the cob :)

Hi fif,
Clotted cream is the richest type of cream, it is made by slowly scalding fresh milk (straight from the cow)in a pan for several hours then allowing it to cool overnight. By morning you should have a crusty thick cream that can be skimmed from the milk, it has a rich creamy and slightly nutty flavour and a dense consistency, similar to whipped cream.
Well ladies and gents that concludes todays dairy knowledge, tomorrow we discover the joys of cow-tipping.

This is the greatest thing I have ever seen. A bunch of "FaT" people talking about food. I am so hungry now I'm about to at the computer!! I'm a Black man in Atlanta so of course I love Fried Chicken with Collard Greens, Blackeyed peas, Mac and Cheese, Corn bread, and Potatoe salad. Oh Yeah... Peach Cobbler to Finish !!!!!!!

Hey, we should have a picnic; anyon else near Atlanta?

what is clotted cream?

My ex boyfriends mom is from Leeds. She introduced me to something called a Chucky Egg Sandwich. It's basically an Egg Salad sandwich, but with sliced boiled egg, toasted sourdogh bread with mayo, salt and pepper to taste. Not bad at all.

She also made a mean Bangers and Mash!!!!

Oh and also.....hee-hee.... smoked oysters (3 cans) marinated with teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, a cap full of white vinegar, and lots of Crystal Hot Sauce! Let it marinate over night and put the oysters ona Ritz! Oh yeah baby!
