Hi everyone, I just found the forums today. I've been on here for some time but didn't know about the forum.

Anyways, no offence to anyone but as I've been perusing them today it seems everyone is very unhappy and depressed, I didn't see any positive topics at all (but maybe I missed some!)

I understand what it is to feel down and all but can we start a positive thread and give it a chance? :)

Amen, mynameislu! I could not agree more. My motto - live your life as if no one's looking. LOL People can only makes us feel as bad as we let them make us feel. LOL does that make sense? Too many drinks and a keyboard with a forum do not mix. LOL :-) Gotta love a dirty martini with extra olives. LMAO~

Yes -I'm happy - now. Something I have learnt is that you cannot rely on someone else for your own happiness - been a hard road but so far coming through it.

You can indeed reply to an email from a member. The catch is, you have to respond from your email address. So open the copy of the message that arrived in your inbox, and hit "reply".

If you attempt to reply by opening their profile and emailing them from that page, it won't work.

And sorry, no email addresses are allowed in teh forums.

TallTricia, I'm with you.. I've stopped basing my happiness on everyone else. I live my life, and if someone happens to come into it, then great.. if not, I'm ok to be alone, with my dog of course. He loves it, he gets a whole acre of that king size bed - he hates to share it with anyone, including the cat! LOL

I'm happy too! When I finally realized that it's not others or things that make one happy - it is up to our own selves to do it - then my life changed!! There are always two ways to look at any situation - I choose to put a positive spin on just about everything. This doesn't mean I don't hold a "pity fest" for myself every once and awhile - but they sure don't last any longer than it takes to grab a shower and make a plan!

But, yeah - - my kids make me smile; music makes me smile; funny jokes; babies; and kittens....awwww.....see - - look how much I smile --->

I too am happy -- happy with who I have become, my life, all I have accomplished and the friends and family I have collected along the way. Not that I don't have a bad day here and there and struggle to survive this world and all the shallowness and ugliness in it.

I have always been a believer in that unless you find the happiness and beauty in yourself, you can't really find it in another.

And it does too make me a little sad to read some of these threads and see all these beautiful women on here sad and depressed and thinking love from another will complete them and make them happy. But life is a journey and the path to find happiness is an arduous one. Keep the faith!

There are some.....the happy threads get pushed down pretty quickly, as after people say "congrats" there really doesn;t seem to be much else to say on the topic...lol.


For the record though......I am one happy happy happy happy infatuated woman *grins*
