Have you noticed that people always so "To be loved and accepted you must love and accept yourself" but they tink it is impossible for you to love yourself what is wrong with them. I went to my sister's church and this lady from nowhere comes up to me and says "Don't worry God still loves you" I was just wondering if this is normal behavior or am I am just so lucky to meet all the wackos in the world

Ok , if you get hit broadside like that again, jut turn and say, "unfortuately Jenny can't help. I'm allergic to insentitive know-it-all witches like you and blow up every time I see one". Try not to fallover laughing at the look on her face. OR you could simpley walk away.....

I would hope that ifa someone gave me the number to Jenny Craig that I would have the grace and dignity to just smile and then go to the nearest trashcan to throw it away. Unfortunately, I am afraid that my redneck temper would get the best me and I would call her names that shouldn't be uttered in the church or anywhere else for that matter.

You know... there's alot of things people can say to build us up, but those kinds of things just burn me. I don't think there's any excuse for that! Even with an older person.

I'm very comfortable in the 'church' atmosphere... and I know that sometimes people THINK they are helping but are just being mean spirited.

It sounds like she may have taken you on as her 'project'. My suggestion... decide right now a return comment for next time. Be kind, yet to the point.

I'm older, so I might say something like: I appreciate you interest in me, but I didn't lose my intelligence as I gained weight. If I ever feel the desire to go someplace like that, I know how to look it up in the phone book.

People like that will just continue until you stop them. I promise you... everyone will cheer you! You're probably not the only one she does this to.

Thats the thing... While it may be easier to buy large clothes in the states, it doesn't stop people from being jerks and acting like they are all knowing and know whats best for you

I saw her yesterday and I really REALLY tried to be nice but she just says I have this number for people in your situation I think they could help then she gives me the number and says I have never needed it but it looks like you do The number was for Jenny Craig.
