Does anyone know, why when doing a search, certain profiles are outlined, like in a box?

I believe that is an extra feature someone can pay for to have their profiles flashed so anyone can see them before a search is initiated. It just helps in getting people to see your profile sooner, or if you're not in the search criteria, than your profile can still be seen.

Please note that I'm not with this website as an employee, so I may be wrong.

Yanno..technical difficulties aside..it's pretty bad, when non paying members can't even post a 'new' forum message! Winks let a person know if you found their profile to your liking, but if all you can do is wink back...it really means nada, because there is NO means of REAL communication, unless the other person is a paying member or you become a paying member, which I was formerly.

When you see the word prefered member, that just means they have a paid account and can email others. My Largefriends handle says it all folks! And for one member..who I've seem to lost contact with..* snap out of it baby lol *...he found me without paying at all! Gotta give that man a heads up for being a quick thinker.

I understand these dating sites need to make make money, but I can't see paying 20 dollars a month for getting lot's of winks from nice men who either are too far away from where I reside or are a bit older than what I'm looking for. I have to say that I do like the idea of the forums, but seeing they are monitored, it's hard to speak freely..and seeing most of us are adults..you'd think they'd give a person a little lee-way in the terms one uses to describe people or situations we may find ourselves in.

I'm in no hurry to be a paying member again....but to those who've winked...I've always tried to wink back..and when I was a paying member..I made a point to always reply back to anyone who took the time to email me, but from what I've seen, at least from the East Coast boys of New England..all they are really looking for a very 'casual' encounter..and I don't believe dinner and a movie is on their mind.

To those who've been successful here...kudo's to ya! I haven't given up on the notion of dating, because I've been meeting men from other venues, and some have been wonderful, but I think online anything has more "CONS" than pros.

As a (somewhat) new member, I find this site to be very difficukt to navigate.
Most sites give you an idea of who wants to contact you so you can make the decision as to being a paid member or not. This site offers nothing except pictures and profiles. And, of course, this posting!
I use different sites and am a paid member to at least two. But if the bait is held too far away, why bite?

Try clearing the cookies and temp files in your browser and looking again. Your profile may be updated, but your browser is displaying the cached image. If that doesn't work, contact customer service. Good luck :)

Is anyone having trouble with profiles.. I happened to look at mine and no matter how many times I fix it , the wrong information is coming up. It was correct when I set it up. I dont Understand it.

Ok. One question answered, how about another? How on earth are the winks and people who viewed your profile sorted? I get recent winks that show up in the middle of my list...bottom, etc. Doesn't seem alphabetical, or chronological. Anybody know?

i cant help u but jsut to say i was thinking the same thing i thought it was prehaps when they are added to ur favourite but i dunno lol
