My question is this. Where can an obese person find an mri scanner big enough to hold and accomodate him/her? most scanners i know of can only hold 350 lbs and the ones that are stronger are to small a diameter? anyone have any info/insights on this?

Yeah that's the best way open MRI.. I had one a year back or so for my back.. And I'm not a small girl so that.. Would be your best bet there.. Alot nicer then the closed ones..

Try locating what's known as an open MRI scanner. I don't know about the weight limits.
