I was wondering should a girl bring a guy something for their first date? I know some guys bring their date flowers (never happen to me but I have heard of this before, boo hoo for me) but what should a girl bring her date? Just curious if anyone has any suggestions.

the best gift I brought a guy was a book or music from his favorite composer and I wrapped it in brown parcel paper, decorated it with straw, berries (raspberry), feathers, and a single red rose in the center.... that was an amazing night at the symphony

I have never really thought about bringing a guy a gift... actually, I have never expected a gift from a guy either. If I got one, I'd probably faint!

I see nothing wrong with guys getting gifts. I take $10's, $20's, or even something a little larger if it isn't too obtrusive. The only times I took flowers to a girl was for the big dates in high school, prom, homecoming, etc. OH God, doc, I just had a break through. Could that be why???? Naw, it had to be my personality, wait, I don't have one of those either. Darn, I should have gone with the flowers. Dr. Phil, save me! DOH!!!!!

That's what I thought too but always wondered if women ever brought anything to guy. I think the only time I would ever bring anything is if he was cooking for me at his home, then I'd bring a bottle of wine. You know what they, you'll never know if you never ask.

A woman should never be "expected" to bring anything more than her company to the date. The reason why we men bring flowers or somthing is to thank you (the woman) for even bothering with us. You should never be expected to bring a gift; I would think that any man would be embarassed to have his date bring him a gift. Sure it's a very nice gesture (I know, I'm old-fashioned) but the pleasure of your company is more than your date deserves to expect.
