How would you say your glass is? Rightnow my glass is most DEF half full...a few months ago i suddenly woke up and realised my weight is not an issue to me anymore. I was going to enjoy life. out went the big black clothes, in came the colors and the more fitting clothes ... my attitude is sooo optimistic that i make people sick sometimes LOL
I can say this is the happiest i have ever been in my life and my attitude rubs onto people and its as if i am attracting more people towards me (not necessarily males only...evenmore friends and stuff...) i guess i look more aproachable..
As an ex. goth i thought id never reach this point in my life wherei accept myself :) id still like to lose weight but its not a priority

Ok, I admit! I'm intrigued. Let's study this!
pulling G's -- speeding
berm-shots -- motorcyle or RV term for a hard bank, maybe?
spillage -- wrecks
"Pour some out for the boys" -- besides alcohol, not sure what that could mean
Hang on Snoopy? I've heard of Sloopy...?
White Buffalo - rare
And yet it still doesn't make sense in relation to the original question. I'm with DrunkMonkey, I'd say some sort of "outside influence" is involved ;)
Back to the REAL question -
Half Empty or Half Full?
Depends if chocolate is involved.
LOL!
starlite2000 write: LOL For some reason I'm not surpised. Not very many people are familiar with Native American culture (whitebuffalo). But I don't take it personally. However I do take this everclear comment personally.
Why would you take offense to that? It wasn't directed at you. You're right about me not being familiar with Native American culture so like most of us, no, I don't understand the white buffalo reference. Did any of the rest of his post tie into that reference? What I said was in reference to his post as a whole, not parts. Not knowing any context for it it comes across to most readers as a nonsensical free association.
If you think I was making some kind of Native American equals drunkard statement you're wrong. Lighten up.
I have days when I think my glass is half full, and then I have days when I think my glass is half empty. For the most part, especially after watching all of horrible things happening in the south, my glass is definitely half full. The consequences of that storm left me kicking myself for ever feeling sorry for myself.
I've always been a half-empty girl. But I had a friend say to me "the glass may be half empty, but at least there's something in it!" So i've been trying to leave my life that way.
Ah... instead of the 'is the glass half full' or 'is the glass half empty' personality, this must fall into the 'hey, I ordered a cheeseburger!' category... yep, just as off the wall!
I was thinking the same thing... makes no sense to me either.

It depends on the perspective... if the glass was originally full... I tend to worry and think it's half empty. But if I started out empty... wow! how awesome... it's half full!!!
lol... I know... I'm kinda weird about things sometimes.
That's great to hear IslandG! I've always been a glass half full person and it's good to know you've come over to this side. You're a lovely girl and I'm glad you've come to realize that!

I have always been a "half full" kind of person. In fact, it used to drive my ex nuts on how enthusiastic I was about life and how I was always sure that when something went wrong, it would get better (I don't think I've been wrong on that one {grin}).
I was equally annoyed at her "everything is going to #$@!" attitude most of the time. But for 14 years we managed to put up with each other. :)
I know they say that "opposites attract", but not in all cases. I simply do not find negative people attractive. With my ex, she wasn't "constantly" negative and when we first met, I thought maybe I could bring her back from the dark side. After 14 years, that never happened and was a contributing factor to our divorce.
And not all negativity is permenant... The lady I am currently seeing has some negative effects due to her recent divorce. But since we've started "seeing" each other, she has started coming out of that and is more the "bright and sunny" self she described herself to be and that I have come to love.
