ok, I doubt anyone is going to see this, but I had such a bizarre day today, I just had to share.


As some of you may remember, I am currently in a labour dispute and on the picket line (which looks like it might actually end after 3 months, knock on wood, but that's another topic.)

So, I'm out on the picket line line today, We had a gentleman visit who evidently lost his tinfoil hat. Among his claims:

-he is the true constitutionally elected prime minister of Canada. He was elected in Prince Albert in 19seventy something, but then Joe Clarke did something to usurp him illegally
-his mother, along with 91 other families are being held in a nuclear defence facility beneath Drumheller since 1980
-the survivors of the world trade centre disaster are being held hostage beneath Calgary

And that wasn't even half ofhis claims. It was a little scary at the time, but hilarious in hindsight.

So then I was talking with another aquaintance from my company about online dating, and she mentioned another site where there are alot of people from my area as members. I go check it out, do the free profile thing, and am browsing the site when this guy IM's me.

So we're chatting away, and we get to the "what do you do" part of getting to know each other. When I mention my company and the labour dispute, he tells me he has friends that are walking the picket line to.

Turns out, his best friend, is my best work friend. Her and I go to lunch, and have coffee or drinks after work and what not all the time. I've heard her talk about this guy.


So I went to the corner store and bought a lotto ticket. A day this bizarre has to be an omen.

Just relax and be yourself.... L likes you for you.... so will he! I mean .... come on... why WOULDN'T he like you? LOL You have nothing to be nervous about sweetie.... you are beautiful and smart! What more could he want?

I haven't seen him yet, but I probably will, this weekend, or early next week.

It's a little daunting. One one hand, I know he's a decent guy, because my friend from work (herein known as L) does not easily suffer fools, plus, she's me how he's been there for her, etc.

On the other hand because we are both friends of L, I feel a little more nervous than I normally do.

Well, now I'm curious.... this guy... are you going to see him again? lol ... don't leave us hanging like that! LOL
