Darl everybody has a different pain thresh hold but in my experiences you women are bloody tough as nails. To me it feels like a burning sensation but hey i have had about 280 hours work done on me so i tend to fall asleep dureing the process.I have had truck drivers pass out on the floor from shock. They awake very imbarrised.

nah, in the end it was ok! my friend nearly died (not literally) from one that goes all the way across the top of her foot, up, and around her ankle and back. now THAT looked painful, and she was pale and shaking by time the OUTLINE was done.

i have one that takes up most of my left, er, pectoral area. Its around the n!pple and at its lowest point hits my upper ribs. it was irritating for the most part, like a series of paper cuts, but the rib part felt like someone was cutting me with glass.
The tattoo artists that have worked on it both said i did remarkably well, considering the time (3 hours) and location.

I knew a guy a long time ago that had a tattoo of a squirrel running up his left inner thigh, and another one of a squirrel with two nuts running down his right inner thigh.......

Well I finally had it done - and I can honestly say I would rather have another caesarian lol!!! Took nearly a couple of hours and not much blood - so I was told... The symbology is important to me.. renewed life, the chrysalis turning into a new beautiful me.

I have a tinkerbell tattoo that is about 7 inches tall on my lower back (well right above my crack). It took about 4 hours to do and hurt a lot, but it was totally worth it. That's a pic i've included with it. I cropped out my booty :)

Since I work in the medical field, I'm privvy to seeing a few "personal" tattoo sites. Once I saw this young woman come to the OB/GYN with her father, a much older man with graying hair. On her *ahem* was the tattoo, "Ike's P*ssy."

Turns out, the old man wasn't her father, that was her boyfriend, Ike.

The last one I had done did hurt..It was at the bottom of my back, But its the kinda pain you get used too after a few minutes!
As a nurse..I have seen tattoo's in some funny places, but i think the best one was a fox hunting scene tattooed on a fella back, with just the tail of the fox disappearing up his b*tt!!

The weirdest / most interesting tatoo I have seen was on a guy who had his head shaved all round his head from temple to temple. he had a dragon about 2 inches wide all round the back of his head. I cannot imagine the paint that must have caused. Apparently he did it in two sessions but it was really nice and beautifully colored.

My cousing got a fairy tattooed on her "southern bits" and apparenlty sometimes the fairy can be found hiding behind the bush.... :P

And slu , to me getting tattooed is like a little hot knife cutting your skin ... its not bad bad ...but kinda irritating ... and I found my ankle was the WORST pain and around my n1pple was the least ... that one bled the most tho, I actually got the b@@bie one done on the same night as my cousins fairy ... the tattooist didnt know what hit him !! lol

I recently went to get my first tattoo. I chose to have a black tattoo on my upper chest area. The tattoo has a sentimental meaning for me. It took an hour to do and I won't say that it did not hurt at all. Most of the time it felt like a mild to medium sensation of burning and scratching. The last ten minutes were the most painful probabably because of the area of the body.
As for pain, I don't take pain well and so if I can take it, you can probably take it.
