Maybe somewhere like a few bars then a meal or cinema.. Or even go for little trips like to france/ paris for a few days something romantic

Meet up at a Cafe, have a chat and get to know eachother. If all goes well then we can schedule another Cafe date or Dinner and a Movie. :-)

I am all for having fun, seeing a movie, dinner, hiking, bowling, whatever, but I think a great first date is meeting for a cup of coffee. It is really important to talk on a first date and get to know each other a little bit. Coffee is great! It is usually a more relaxed setting making it easier to get to know each other, less pressure than, for example, finding a movie you both agree on, inexpensive, and allows a lot of freedom as to the length of the date. If it is not going well, there is no obligation to spend the whole evening in an awkward/undesirable situation. On the other hand however, if the date is going well, one can always drink their coffee a little slower, get a second cup, or even decide to grab a bite to eat together and talk about what you should do on that second date :)
