With all this talk about appropriate and inappropriate and what kind of a site is it and what do we want... it's an adult site and eventually most of us want "it" - we all have an eventual description of what "it" is and part of love/like/lust is physical contact. Do I want it ? Of course - bring it on BUT I want it on my terms when I'm ready - that's what makes this site different - it's not the "only" thing that I am looking for.....good luck finding "it" ....sorry for offending those that don't want "it" or don't want to hear about "it".

Quoting smoosh: I didn't mean an explicit adults only site - I simply meant where adults could talk freely without being too vulgar/coarse - they sure don't monitor the "im" for sure or a number of people would be gone. If you pay for it - they are willing to "overlook" it and then consider you an adult. I was just trying to present the fact that things can be said in a much nicer fashion/way without being pornographic in nature and yet communicating that physical contact is an important part of "it" but certainly not the whole package.

Quoting islandgal64: Interesting thoughts .... Just to chuck in my five pence worth ... I would describe LF as a site for adults rather than an "adult site". I think the two can be quite different and as such the restrictions and expectations of the content would differ significantly. This is primarily a singles/dating site and makes clear the conduct expected from those who chooses to sign up and again when you post on the blogs. To me, an "adult site" generally refers to the type of content that comes along with several x's, graphically sexual images/descriptions and warnings that people may find the content offensive, distasteful or whatever. Personally I would not join an "adult site" as I have no interest in discussing the intimate and explicit details of what I may or may not be getting up to. Likewise I have no interest in reading similar details about what anyone else is getting up to, has got up to or is hoping to get up to. Others may be interested, whether for their own titillation or just because that's what floats their boat. That's their choice. But I don't believe that's what LF is all about. If it truly is then I will happily take myself off and find something more appropriate for my personal ideals and values. I guess that leaves quite a grey area of what might/might not get chatted about on here, but I can think of a number of people who have got round the issue cleverly and with humour. We can all work out what they mean, but (for me at least) it's actually more entertaining when it isn't sold to you with a socking great sledgehammer! But when all is said and done, damned right, I'm sure we all want whatever is our personal definition of "it" and here's hoping sooner or later everyone gets at least their fair share of "it". And I'm talking quality as well as quantity!

You're not the only one. I would think that if someone is seriously looking for a relationship, then "it" will have to come up eventually (no pun intended, guys! ;). And I agree with you, Smoosh. I want "it" when I am ready. I don't want to be coerced, urged, fineggled, pushed or forced in any way. I want "it" to come about naturally, as if it it the most natural perfect thing in the world. :) --True

I totally agree. "It" is a vital part of any healthy relationship. "It" is not dirty. "It" should not be an embarrassing subject for any adult to talk about. RW is right... I think most want intimacy as well... that entails so much more than just the mere act (so to speak) of "It"... but is just as important.

What is it? Is it Intimacy? Is it Sex ? Is it both? For me it is both Those of you who know me a little, know that I haven't had "it" for a very long time. Talking about "it" is very healthy. On the blogs I tend to be much more philosophical. In chatsI am much more personable. What ever "it" is for everyone, be glad you are in a community that wants "it" and not just play with your emotions
