Thought some humour might lighten up the blogs - whoever thought of "one size fits all" should try some pantyhose on for size. What are some of the other things that tick you off that really should be size appropriate ? ( or make you laugh ) Truly - size matters when it needs to fit. (do all guys buy the extra large prophylatics ? hmmmmmm )

Petale size 0 is not as small as it gets I had a church friend a few years ago whose 18 year old daughter wore a 00 witch is smaller than a 0 and they was loose on her, now thats a skinny chick. I hear she has a child now I bet she beefed up to a 1 with the baby weight. And smoosh, how dare you ask such a question? You should know that as soon as they put a size on them we had to start buying the largest out there, but the knots tied in the end do make things seem bigg.....never mind lol

Islandgal64 Practice makes perfect. Actually you just need to start... the machine does a lot you know. Let me share something with you... When I was much younger I tried sewing and gave it up because I didn't have talent... it wasn't perfect. Then I got older and came wisdom... it doesn't have to be perfect. Clothes from stores rarely are. I started with curtains and skirts, and easier stuff and I'm still learning as I go. I find a lot of fun in the challenge of trying. If it doesn't work... Hey I might have blow $10.00 of fabrics... about the same price as a movie at the theater and as much fun I swear.

Sadly I'm not talented as a seamstress .... give me a few ingredients and I can turn out a decent meal but my artistic or creative leaning doesn't stretch to sewing of any form. I'm quite envious of anyone who can make their own clothes successfully. What I really need to do is lose the bellies, lol!!!

RWGROOT60 Again you only leave me with more questions?? Why do I have the feeling you couldn't have a shy innocent smile to defend yourself in a deadly situation??

Quoting: Originally posted by petale46 Islandgal64 Try having a different shape large body. I have no hips, no butt, I wear most of my weight on my tummy. Skirts and pants look I'm going to ride on a horse with loose fabric at the hip level but I can't breathe because on most of my clothes the waist has to be really tight if I don't want to look like I'm wearing a potato bag. To make things worse, I wasn't graced with the usually set of breasts most large women get, you know the ones that enter a room before you do. I've lost weight and went from a 46 bra to a 40 now and I still have to find a B cup in any of those sizes or the ones in between. My pet peeve is why do clothe have to be so ugly for larger woman. Why the bad cut, the cheap fabric, the big flowers and why oh! God why do they keep on manufacturing clothes with horizontal stripe. Do they really think we want to appear even larger. In Quebec, there are only two specialty chains for larger women, Pennington and Additionelle. Both owned by the same company. They are basically the same models and the same uglyness. The rare times I see something really nice that I'd be delighted to wear, the price is equivalent to my mortgage. I deeply resent that.

Lol Petale, I have pretty much all of what you describe; the weight concentrated round the belly, narrower hips, smallish derriere, less than voluptuous, but I'm 5ft 10" with long fairly decent shaped legs. Trousers designed to fit my vast middle appear to be cut to fit tree trunks rather than legs as well as tending to fall short of my ankles! In a strong wind I can use the surplus fabric as a sail!! I live on an island, just a few miles off the UK mainland, but with very limited plus size shops. I tend to rely on mail order, and expensive trips to the mainland. So you're not alone, but short of standing by a bacon slicer I don't know what the answer is, lol!

RWGROOT60 Why do I have a feeling that like with most men, keeping the wind blowing south is not much of a problem... the wind always blows south as far as I've experience. Actually, most men will try ways to send the wind in other directions at crucial moments. What I don't understand is what mother or baseball statistic have to do with wind?? Enlightened me please!!! hehehehehe

Hey smoosh. As far as I'm concern pantyhoses are an invention of the Devil and should not be created in any size or shape. They have the most synthetic and uncomfortable feel to it and the most disagreeable way of behaving. They sag on your legs or you end up tucking the waste band under your bra. As for condoms. I think there is a giant manufacturing conspiracy to boost our ego. It's impossible for anyone to wear a size 0. 0 means 0. Means you don't exist. How can you wear clothes if you have 0 body. And yet when you watch tv or read papers, every woman aspire to be a size 0 it seems. So I guess extra large condoms are just a regular small in the end. Look out for the Majestic or the gigantic ones to come, I'm sure.

I was told condoms came in S/M/L ... Small, Medium and Liar, lol Any "one size" clothes are just a joke .... even socks would be better with different sizes (like you get in memswear) I also find that as sizes get bigger (especially trousers) the lengths seem to get shorter. I'm 5ft10" and I don't want to look like my trousers have had a row with my shoes!
