Seem to be stuck in a rut and I don't think I'm the only one - the blogs are quiet as everybody goes about their daily reality and it just appears to be the same ole. Need a little kick out of my rut in the road.....any suggestions for a kick start?

A quick jump start would be to get out of the house and go to some of the free stuff that is offered in your community. Look in your local paper and see what is offered. Art museums and libraries often offer free lectures and even free performances when international folk troupes come to town. If you are shy and want to reach out to people in a safe way, do something that takes you out of your comfort zone, but that does not cost a lot of risk. The first thing that comes to my mind is to do something as small as initiating small talk with strangers. Waiting in line for a movie or in a check out line; complimenting someone on their hair style or outfit are opportunities when you can do this. It is highly unlikely that you will get a negative response to a compliment.

I watched The Secret tonight, and I'm sending messages out to THE UNIVERSE and calling all good things to me..seriously that's what we're supposed to do to attract the good stuff. I'm going to start a gratitude journal and cut out photos of the things I'd really like to attract into my life.. There might be something to it. Last year I went on a spring holiday to a nice resort and I was sort of thinking of trying to get a condo there this year. I put my name on a waiting list and didn't hear for a long time..then last week I got one of those silly emails that said write down what you're wishing you could do for fun. and send it to all your friends. On a whim I wrote that I wanted to go to this resort and TA DA..the next morning I got a call from them saying they'd had a cancellation for the exact week that I'd requested.. almost spooky.. So the lesson is write down what you want so "The Universe" can see it..and then wait for good things. What the heck ..nothing to lose

Kick starts, hummmm you bring up a good topic. I've tried a few things, from re-arranging my "routine" I change the order that I do things in the morning. Change my foods, sometimes I'll change the outside me, but the inside needed more of a kick start. Try a few new things, foods, hair style, nail color, nothing drastic unless you want a major change. Drive a different way to work, go to bed earlier or later.. Watch a different TV show. Listen to more music. Reply to a guy on here :-) Okay, let me know how this works out for you. YES THE BLOGS ARE TOOO DARN QUIET !!! Nat

Awww ((((Smoosh)))) I know how you're feeling. My friends aren't use to me depending on them so much. I'm usually the one saying something silly to make them laugh, now I need reassurance every time I turn around. I'm going to try to write a funny blog...maybe it will cheer a few people up.
