Today, I was fired from a job with a company that I was a outstanding employee for 11 years. I was fired due to liars and immature people that stated I made them feel like they were stupid. I know God has good things coming my way and I know they will have to face him one day, but right now it hurts. And the funny thing is I knew it was coming because suddenly they started being nice to me. I spent 2007 in a hostile work environment and suddenly they became nice so I knew they were going to fire me. Darn shame.

I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your job. In spite of the frustration and betrayal you're feeling now its probably going to be better in the long run. Working in such a toxic environment is not good at all for your health or your self esteem. Hang in there. Things will improve

Nodrama: I hope you find another position soon. And I hope you are calmer and more at ease not being in that vapid, soul-draining, stress-inducing atmosphere every day. I KNOW how horrible it can be to have a job around selfish, immature, self-serving idiots with flaming cases of moron-itis. Been there, done that. I now love my job. But if I didn't, I would LEAVE. (collecting my unemployment on my way out...) Good luck to you, girl. Keep us posted.--True

Hi NoDrama, I am so sorry to hear about how you have been treated - no matter how often you hear the every ending is a new beginning - it does not feel good at the time and is very hard on the self esteem. Hope you get thru is and land yourself a position that is more self fulfilling and satisfactory - those left behind at the old job won't know your worth for a while yet. Time will tell and time will heal. Best wishes.

I'm really sorry for your loss, but I have experianced the same pain with my job. Better things will come. I just had my first child when it happened to me. Good thing was, I was able to spend more time with him, before looking again. GOD will bless you again.

I'm really sorry about this ND. Hopfully you will find a job that has a more pleasant atmosphere with more mature people. I find that some employers don't realize the valuable employees (like ones who have been at their jobs for 11 years) from the troublemakers. Good luck! Kris

ND, I'm so sorry you had to deal with the jerks. I agree that they will face G-d for what they do. I'm sure it did not start with you nor will it stop with you. This experience has given you some new learning experiences that will be valuable in your future. I'm sure you will find a much better environment to work in for your future. You should not have to work in a hostile environment. Now that you know how to identify it, go out there and find that job that will keep that smile on your face :-) HUGS Nat

I am very sorry that you have lost your job, it is always a bad sign when people suddenly start being nice to you, when they have been nasty before. Good luck in finding another job. Take care.

That. Is just so wrong. I really can't understand how some people can find pleasure in being so nasty to others. Good riddance to that toxic environment! I hope that better opportunities are coming your way.

You know what they say... When God closes a door he opens a window. Keep your eyes open for that window ND. I'm sorry for your pain.
