I was wondering if getting a dog would be easier than finding a mate.

What do you think?

Dogs are cute indeed... but if you're going to be spending alot of time training a dog and nurturing it... you might as well get a mate!!! LOL

My dog is always faithful to me, likes my cooking, sleeps next to me and doesn't expect me to provide nightly entertainment, understands when I am moody and hides under a pillow when I am angry. My dog lets me vent whenever I want to and doesn't feel obligated to make things right. My dog also understands that I need my space. I like my dog WAAAYYY better than any man I have ever known. ;)

Dog versus man.....I have considered this ....
Pros-dogs always happy to see you (well actually anyone - not so much a pro)
-will eat the same food(no choice - lol)
-shed/fart/burp ( No difference - lol)
-don't need Cable therefore no remote to lose/chase
-warm the bed (hog the bed)
-don't need clothes etc. - not high maintenance (no toys so to speak)

Cons-dogs need to be walked
-can't leave them alone for weekend away( this is almost the same for different reasons )
-have to clean up after them (hmmmm - enough said)
-dogs never take you out for more than a walk
-sniff everyone's butts (rofl)
-vet bills ( like owning a car - never an inexpensive fix )

Still would prefer a man...with a dog would be icing on the cake.

No liars, no cheats, no mental or physical abuse, always there to listen, what more could you ask for.......Yeap if I didn't have so many cats I would have a dog by now...

Don't get me wrong CAT'S rule :)

Have you thought that maybe if you were to look for a dog, you might find a mate that happens to be a dog lover too... hehehehehe
