even though she's done everything possible to deserve what's happened to her I still feel bad about watching Britney Spears spiral down and out...from being America's sweetheart and on covers of all the mags to just fodder for the scandal rags...so sad to be in her shoes right now

Getting involved in a "relationship" with a British photographer wasn't her smartest move ... she craves the fame and publicity too much to be able to live a "normal" life

it is very sad. when you're an addict or have mental issues that are not medically or psychologically addressed you don't see the harm you're doing to yourself or to others. it's a known fact that the paparazzi and media makes it even worse for her and now her poor children. it's a shame. i know personally i can't do anything to help britney and i'd be stupid to try, but i just can't help feeling sorry for her. some blame the family and friends, but you can't. you can't make somebody stop doing something that's endangering themselves if they choose not to change.

She needs to realize, though, that she has two children who are affected (deeply) by her behavior. It seems as if she has no regard for the consequences of her behavior. I think that's what is so shocking and what keeps her in the limelight.

It is very sad and pathetic that she cannot do for herself. from the news I have heard that she does not even know how to pump gas. I have to say that she is the loin spawn of the Valley Girl Culture.Empty and shallow is she . I f I had to be her Gide in life I would have to say is that she needs to shed all of the trappings of wealth. She should find a place where she could Live simply. Away from the press , away from the enablers in her life.

ya make me blush honey..... basically I'm a fairly private person even though I have secret dreams to do stand up lol I can't even imagine being under the microscope as she is. Let us not forget too though, that many people who make mega bucks sometimes tend not to see the consequences of being the big spender/party girl-guy either. I wish her well. No, I am not a card carrying member of the Brittney fan club lol.

I feel bad for her too. The press does nothing to help either with their constant harassment. I hope she can get some help and get her babies back. I don't think her ex-husband is helping the situation much either.

Blue this is the thing I have been thinking since they started with this. I can't even begin to think what it must be like to have a nervous breakdown with the world watching. I think it's time for the paparazzi to back off for once and leave this little girl in peace. Just my opinion.

I agree Bizz. This is truly a tragic story of a young woman self-destructing. One thing I've pondered is - if the papparazzi weren't camped outside her home every minute of every day, would it make a difference? She can't even get medical treatment in private!! Most young people make mistakes. Some bigger than others. But when your mistakes are splashed all over every tv channel, newspaper, magazine, radio station and the internet EVERY SINGLE time no matter how big or how small, could YOU take it? I doubt I could. I love my country. I really do. But this is one place where we have fault. People should be allowed to have protection from the media and invasion of privacy. And this woman-child should be allowed to deal with her pain and personal demons in private as well.
