HI, I was in the periodontist off to have stitches removed. There was a magazine on the seat next to me, "Real Simple" was the name and one of the articles caught my eye. "The things that Don't Disappoint" It got me thinking, the things she listed were very simple things. her friend for all occasions. her dog etc. I had the thing copied and now I can't find it -- RATS Anyway here is what I can think of off the top of my head. Not in any sort of order: My son's love, both of them no matter if they are annoyed at me or not. LF blogs My blanket when I need to wrap myself in a tight cocoon. Hot Cocoa ;-) with or without Kaluaha My friend,Mimi, she and I share a birth date, she is exactly one year younger than I am. my closet, it's there with clothes all the time. The face in the mirror in the morning. I know there are many more but you get the gist of things. What things don't disappoint you? Nat

Hey Ni! LOL! You don't disappoint me! I can count on you to be both honest and searching for the good in things (which is a rare combo, fer shur!) As far as other things go, . . arg . . upon reflection I can't really say that I haven't been disappointed. I love my family dearly and deeply, but there have been times (with each one) that I felt hurt. Of course, I am still giddy at the thought of my sister and nephews visiting next week. Even if things are not always smooth, they are always a helluva lot of fun! Nature is there, but snow that is pretty to look at is a pain to work in. Makes me wonder if I am not being just a little too hard on things in general . . . hmmm Amy

Great topic Nat! Hmmm, things that don't disappoint me... My daughter (she's everything to me) The stars...they're always there on a clear night My writing, no matter how I feel I can always write about it Music...I can find a song to fit every mood (and I love music) Good friends...especially those here on LF (including TX ;) My heart...I can always count on my heart to lead me in the right direction (even if I my mind takes a little detour) Ok, that's all that I can think of at the moment. Melissa
