I am job hunting. I had an interview yesterday that sounds promising. It feels so weird to me. I haven't been on a job search or interviewed in 13 years! It is so nerve-racking trying to find the right job, salary and benefit requirements and the right working atmosphere. I knew this was coming since I started back to college. I knew I would be looking for a job that would use my new degree but it is hard to leave a job that you love.

I work corporate as well but we're a satellite office so more relaxed than our home "base". Good fortune to you!! I hope you do well and enjoy yourself as well!!! How's dear Stanno??? *wink*

It is corporate but the dress code is business casual and they stressed that beforehand. They want people to be comfortable which I appreciate. I hate suits and hose. And of course they have jeans day on Fridays, which I love! Stanno is as wonderful as ever. He has been visiting for a month but he leaves Wednesday. I am dreading it. It has been sooooo absolutely fabulous having him around. I cried on the way home tonight thinking that tomorrow night is the last night that I will come home and have him there waiting for me. He will be back in a month for a couple of weeks and hopefully the visa will be approved in a few months.

CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wonderful news to begin the new year !! Nat

Thanks! It has already been a year of change and more changes are going to be happening. I love to live in my comfort zone but I think I left my comfort zone behind and can't find it. lol

Tomorrow's interview is with a headhunter group and they have a potential job lined up. I have never worked with a career placement group like this before but everyone says it is great because they try to match resumes to openings so you don't have to go spend time doing it yourself. I hope something pans out for me.

Good luck! I find that researching the company before the interview (looking them up with the better business bureau, local ads, checking out public records) sometimes gives you a boost of not only information, but confidence. The more you know, the better off you are. Besides, going into an interview blind, is NOT fun. In addition, it will make you stand out-- not many people these days take the initiative like that; it shows a lot of "balls"--even for a lady.
