well folks....there was Imus and now Rosie and Liz duking it out on split screen....political content aside they both have that inalienable right to open their big pieholes and bleat out their thoughts...I haven't watched The View in eons but if there is any kind of underlying thread/theme to the show were either of them out of line on this basis?..i.e. should we be bleating about abortion rights when the subject and all the guests are sweating over global warming? (no pun intended) I say nay just because the venue is wrong ok...who else is next for the soap box?

jjiggl write: I just saw the fight today on youtube and I have to say that it was just a longer and louder version of their usual. Elizabeth was not only holding her own in the argument, she also helped to keep it going when Rosie seemed to back down.
Because they did not cut to commercial during this exchange, because Barbara was not there that day, and because Rosie supposedly did not tape the next day, it makes me think that it was planned. Makes me think that it was their way of helping Rosie leave the show earlier than they originally planned. The argument was just a cover.
jjiggl, never thought of that theory at all. I saw the video Ro put on her blog yesterday. She is playing the poor hurt me. Everyone picks on me.
I know this statement is going to tick some folks off and I'm sorry, but, Ro can dish it, but she doesn't take it to well.
It reminded me of the time she made the ill comment about Kelly Ripa and Kelly called into the studio to defend herself. Ro, got upset and said Kelly shouldn't have done that. They should have let her talk to Ro during the commercial break. I thought that was an odd comment coming from Ro; it is okay for her to say what she wants while the world is watching, but Kelly should defend herself off the air.
If it is okay for Ro to say what she wants it should be okay for everyone to say what they want.
Just my .02

I often work at home and actually saw the whole thing. It was just icky. Both were out of line in my opinion. Basically neither backing down or being gracious or trying to find a way to allow the other to have dignity. What they had to say to each other was kind of beside the point. It should've been off line - just a basic pissing match. Rosie calls people out from her narrow persoective - she has become kinda well known for that. She needs to have compassion and more gentility with her co hosts and her co hosts need to handle her like an explosive if they do not want to end up on the news. Reminded me of high school.

LOL ... I'm really sorry I have nothing to contribute to this blog. Politics always leave me with a bad tummy ache.

I didn't like the fact that Ro called Liz a coward, I thought that was unfair. Basically Ro was ticked off because she felt that Liz didn't stand up for her and tell people she is a good person. She (Ro) feels as if every Republican is against her and that may be since every word out of Ro's mouth seems to be a negative against the Republicans.
Anyway, Ro is now acting like the victim. As if she has never said anything wrong in her life.
I have been a View fan since it started and I have really not been watching since Meredith left. Not a huge Joy B fan at all. I miss the days of Meredith, Lisa L, Joy, Star and Barbara...those were the days. They talked about women's issues and it was an enjoyable show.
Talking about the War is like talking about religion, just an argument waiting to happen.

I agree Biz. Everyone now-days use their celebrity to voice their opinions. I only saw the part where Big R was calling Liz a coward for something. Not sure... but her comments about us being terrorists were just out there. I think she needs to get laid - by someone with a real. LMAO
