In your rocking-chair, by your window dreaming, shall you long, alone. In your rocking-chair, by your window, shall you dream such happiness as you may never feel. –Theodore Dreiser
I am a seeker, but I will admit I've jumped from behind a few trees in my life...LOL I seek because you can stand back and watch what you would like to find.
I thought it was Ollie Ollie Oxen Free. But then again my Brother-In-Law grew up saying Peep Eye instead of Peep A Boo...go figure

omg smoosh you have hit on one of my favorite topics. Everybody seems to have a different intepretation of the "all come free" rhyme. One woman told me in her neighborhood they would yell out "piggy wants a wiggle"! lol. She thought right upto the moment she told us that all children everywhere yelled out "piggy wants a wiggle". I think I pulled a muscle that day laughing - also she mentioned something about an uncle that orchestrated all the street games...hum? piggy wants a wiggle = creepy uncle....

I would like to be the seeker - that way I can find what I want and when I want it and look where I hope / expect to find it. Pretty rewarding isn't it? I always thought it was "alle alle, all come free but apparently it is : All 'e, all 'e Outs In Free! or Ollie, Ollie, oxen free!" Ready or not - here I come...

I know - they can be tough but yall can handle it. So me I am a seeker. I get to choose who, when, where and why I seek. The hider may be hiding coyly looking to see if I am looking for them as I go get a snack, listen to a little music, play a game of ball - notice them peeking out from behind a tree and consider whether I want to find them or not... and the other reason I like being a seeker is that if I see or know or learn of something that interests me I can go after it rather than waiting for it to come to me.
