My Gold membership is going to expire at midnight tonight. I'm going to have a break from the subscription and with my money I'm going to try something different. On Tuesday 16 January 2007 I will be embarking on my first dance class. 90 minutes of tripping the light fantastic for the princely sum of ?4.00 per class more bang for my buck, cheaper than weight watchers and at least I'll have a giggle and hopefully make some local friends.
I shall keep you informed of my progress. hopefully i don't have to sew progress badges onto my leotard ( oo what an awful sight, me in a leotard and leg warmers...)

I'd love to join a dance class but unfortunately my coordination is sorely lacking in that department. Luckily my boyfriend in high school (many years ago) taught me to slow dance...and a bit of dirty dancing. If not for that then I couldn't dance it all. LOL I wish you the best of luck and am glad you're having fun. Thanks for sharing and keep it up. Have a great weekend.

UPDATE: I start Salsa dancing next Monday. I managed to convince a friend to come with me this time. She was most intrigued when I said my friend who runs the class said there were lots of men to dance with. It was amazing how fast she signed up for the class (lol).

Week 4 unsurprisingly the chap from last week didn't turn up. I really haven't mastered the dance routine to the scissors sisters.
I'm missing next Tuesday's class because I have to go to London for work. There won't be much to report then unless I'm successful in my meeting I may then jump up on the table and show them my moves! ;-P

Ok week 3 and I'm still going to the class. Oh my gosh a bloke joined the class today poor guy in a room full of 50 women trying to do the dance moves. He did his best I would be very surprised if he turns up next week.

I have my second dance class tonight, I know I have forgotten some of the steps :(
Also I don't care that me dancing in that class is like Dawn French shakin' it with the Pussycatt dolls! (I suppose only the english members will get the comparison)

It was awesome, i now know how to shake my stuff to the pussycat dolls, Wait a minute. I got the shimmy down to a pat, need to work on my knee ups and arms. Good thing I wore my sports bra! I'm going again next week. Best 4 english pounds sterling I have ever spent.
